They debuted with "Survivor" in 1979. They didn't have any hits until their second album, but in 1982, their theme song for the movie "Rocky III", "Eye of the Tiger", became a huge hit, topping the US singles chart for seven consecutive weeks, and they quickly gained popularity. The album of the same name also reached No. 2 in the US charts, and they won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Group that year.
