SUPERTRAMP in 1983 was heading towards the end of its golden age, sending "...FAMOUS LAST WORDS..." to No. 5 in the US. This masterpiece footage, which was also a symbol of that era, has been reprinted from the popular Best Master. The iconic footage was shot at the "Munich performance on July 24, 1983". It is a multi-camera pro shot, also known for the famous program "Rockpalast". The "Famous Last Tour" accompanying "...FAMOUS LAST WORDS..." was literally Roger Hodgson's last tour, and its end was also the end of the golden age. First of all, let's take a look at the overview of the last activities of this classic lineup. 1982: "FAMOUS LAST WORDS..." released on October 29th, 1983: June 1st - July 24th: Europe (28 shows) ←★here★ August 5th - September 25th: North America (37 shows) Roger Hodgson leaves. This is SUPERTRAMP in 1982/1983. This was their first live performance in four years since the 1979 "BREAKFAST IN AMERICA Tour", and Roger left the band after the tour. It is clear that this was a time of isolation, isolated from the flow of events before and after the tour. The tour's structure was extremely simple, with a two-stage structure of Europe and North America. The Munich performance in this work was also the final day of the first half of the "European" leg. The stage was broadcast on TV, and it has long been a staple that has reigned as a symbol of the "Famous Last Tour". There are a lot of Gene's existing groups, but this work is the 1st Gene Master, which was talked about as "this is the best" among them. Although it is an analog feeling because it is a VHS of an air check, the freshness of the master is tremendous. Every corner of the screen is fresh, the color is vivid, and above all, the sense of stability is wonderful. It is as if the broadcast wave itself has crossed the space-time of 40 years. Such a visual beauty depicts a treasure trove of masterpieces that summarize the golden age. When it comes to the stage of the golden age, "PARIS" is inevitably familiar. Let's organize the set while comparing. Famous Last Words (4 songs) Crazy (★★) / It's Raining Again (★) / Put On Your Old Brown Shoes (★) / Waiting So Long (★★) Classics (13 songs) Crime of the Century: Bloody Well Right / Hide In Your Shell / Dreamer / Rudy / School / Crime Of The Century Others: Ain't Nobody But Me / Breakfast In America / Give A Little Bit (★) / From Now On / The Logical Song / Goodbye Stranger (★) / Fool's Overture *Note: The "★" marks are songs that were not heard on "PARIS". In particular, the "★★" marks are limited songs only available on this tour. ...And so on. "Give A Little Bit" and "Goodbye Stranger" are also delicious, but the highlight is the "...FAMOUS LAST WORDS..." songs. In particular, "Crazy" and "Waiting So Long" were not played by SUPERTRAMP or Roger's solo after that. You can enjoy the limited songs only for this tour with multi-camera pro shots. The bright daytime stage gets darker and darker as each song is layered. The beauty and spectacle of such an outdoor stage can be enjoyed with the best video ever. Multi-camera pro shot of "July 24, 1983 Munich performance". The highest peak updated version made into DVD from the 1st Gene Master, which was talked about as "this is the best". The master freshness is tremendous, the corners of the screen are fresh, the colors are vivid, and above all the stability is wonderful. You can enjoy Roger Hodgson's last tour with delicious limited songs such as "Crazy" and "Waiting So Long". Reitstadion Riem, Munich, Germany 24th July 1983 PRO-SHOT BEST MASTER!!! 1. Intro 2.
