The out-of-print official video of the legendary first visit to Japan has been decided to be released. This work contains the live work "FAR EAST & FAR OUT : COUNCIL MEETING IN JAPAN". This is the official video of the first visit to Japan that was realized immediately after the release of the 1st full album "CAFE BLEU". First, let's look at the schedule of the Japan tour. "CAFE BLEU" released on March 16th April 29th: Shinjuku Welfare Pension Hall April 30th: Shinjuku Welfare Pension Hall May 2nd: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall May 4th: Nakano Sun Plaza [This work] In this way, the visit to Japan was realized just over a month after the release of "CAFE BLEU". It was the first visit to Japan with BIG COUNTRY, INXS, THE MOTELS, THE ROMANTICS, etc. along with the nostalgic name "Tomorrow's Superstars FM LIVE-ALIVE'84". This work is a recording of the final day, "May 4, 1984: Nakano Sun Plaza Performance". This show was released as a soft copy at the time, but has been out of print for a long time. In 2008, a DVD was released that added extra tracks to the video transcription and significantly changed the song order, but that has also been out of print. This work is not the DVD, but a precise digitalization of the original release version. Of course, since the original is an official work, the quality is official class. The master used is also a mint quality Japanese version, and you can enjoy the beautiful image beauty without even a single white line noise. The legendary first visit to Japan, revived with such quality, vividly revives the smell of the 1980s. Paul Weller, dressed in a yellow polo shirt with a French cut and a sweatshirt wrapped around his waist, Mick Talbot, dressed in a black soft hat, bright red suspenders, and a striped tie... The scent that was called "stylish sound" is already smack of Munmun from the outfit. And the sound unfolding on such a stage is nothing short of colorful. From "CAFE BLEU" onwards, it was like a toy box filled with jazz, soul, funk, bossa, and hip-hop, but this work seems to have scattered it from the stage. It is not the refined sophistication that has been digested since "OUR FAVOURITE SHOP", but rather a straightforward venting of admiration for black music. Its freshness shines even more dazzlingly than "CAFE BLEU". Paul couldn't hold back the "music he wanted to make" even if he threw away THE JAM. His passion is scattered straight and refreshingly. Not only is it the legendary first visit to Japan, but it is a superb video in which the young passion bet on music shines and surges in as a heart-warming melody. The sounds, scenery, and scents that could only exist in "that era". A piece that carries all of that. Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 4th May 1984 PRO-SHOT (56:38) 1.
