In 2016, when STRYPER is about to perform solo in Japan for the first time in 27 years, the official footage of STRYPER's first performance in Japan has been reprinted in the highest quality ever! This work is a DVD version of the previously released first official video work "LIVE IN JAPAN" from the Japanese VHS version. Although it seems that the rock video DVD boom has ended, there are still plenty of treasured videos that have not been officially reprinted. Treasures remain buried in the darkness of history, with some bands trying to seal away their past, and others with no funds to reproduce. Until now, such masterpieces have been turned into DVDs in the highest quality, and this work is the latest release. The original master was the Japanese VHS released at the time. Its state of preservation is what is known as "Don Pika", and it has a mint quality that was cherished by domestic core enthusiasts. The vinyl cover had been opened, but there was no sun damage or even wrinkles. I couldn't help but ask, "Should I touch it with white gloves?" The reason the collector, who has kept it so carefully, is cooperating with us is simply because he wants to see it in the highest quality. No matter how mint quality or perfectly preserved it is, it won't last forever. This sense of crisis moved Mr. Collector's heart, as he felt he had to transfer it to digital while it was still in perfect condition. The reason he trusted us was because of the quality of our reprint series. For this series, we have made great efforts in digitization and DVD pressing, and have partnered with overseas manufacturers specializing in analog video. Using high-end equipment and an environment that is different from that of consumer products, all of the information contained in the video is extracted and transferred to DVD. The collaboration has been realized in response to the collector's desire to preserve the item in as perfect a condition as possible because it is an item that has been cherished. This work, which went through such a process, is truly beautiful. Since it is in the best condition, there should be no twisting or deterioration of the tape, and the beauty of the flowing images will not stagnate. There is no distortion at the edges of the screen, which is the fate of analog recording, and there is not even a single line of noise to be seen. Everything from each strand of Michael Sweet's bangs to the wrinkles in his yellow and black costume is shown in ultra-clear detail. This is so much that it can only be thought of as master quality. And STRYPER, who came to Japan for the first time, revived with that quality! At the time, Michael had just celebrated his 22nd birthday in Japan, and his clear voice was full of transparency, sparkling, and beautifully extending forever. The guitar sound is also sharper and heavier than the album. The set list includes 5 out of 6 songs from their debut EP ``THE YELLOW AND BLACK ATTACK'' and 6 songs from their first full-length album ``SOLDIERS UNDER COMMAND''. It is packed with the momentum of their most wild and heavy metallic days just before their blockbuster hit ``TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL'', when they were all on the upswing. Live performances are possible because not only the band but also the audience are together with a sense of the times. The pre-bubble era can be seen through the hairstyle of a female fan, but the sight of Michael singing while holding the roses and prickly pears given to him by his girlfriend clearly shows the popularity of STRYPER at the time. Of course, after “From Wrong To Right”, the “Bible Throwing” performance is also included. Furthermore, the last track includes "Message From Stryper" in which each member talks about Jesus Christ. Of course, it comes with Japanese subtitles. Oz Fox and Tim Gaines simply say, ``Music is a gift from God,'' and Robert Sweet, drumstick in hand, passionately calls for ``Let's be a fighting spirit based on God's guidance.'' Michael then seriously and sincerely says, ``Even if you don't accept (God's message) or reject it, STRYPER will accept it.'' It's a famous scene that leaves a strong impression because it was at that time, and because they were in their 20s, their facial expressions and words left a strong impression. Under the banner of "Christian metal", young STRYPER delivered exquisite melodies, heavy edges, and beautiful singing voices. This is the best official footage of their dazzling performance, as they have just started running, and the joy of stepping out into the world bursting out from their whole bodies. In the history of heavy metal in the 1980s, a large yellow and black flower bloomed beautifully despite its accomplishments. This is a piece that revives that figure with the highest quality ever. If the official can't leave it behind, someone has to. A masterpiece video that has been crystallized in response to the collector's wishes. Please make this shine bloom in your home.
