Four years after their restart, STRAY CATS finally returned to Japan for the first time in nine years in 1990. The iconic footage is now being reissued. The true identity of this work is a multi-camera pro shot of the performance at Club Citta Kawasaki on May 8, 1990. Yes, this is a DVD version of the out-of-print official video work "ROCK TOKYO" that was officially released at the time. Speaking of 1990, it was also the year that "LET'S GO FASTER!" was released, but this work is a little different. To recall the circumstances around that, let's first take a look at the activity schedule at that time. 1989 January 2nd - February 7th: North America #1 (9 performances) February 25th - March 16th: Europe #1 (15 performances) {"BLAST OFF!" released in March}・May 1st-17th: North America #2 (13 shows) ・June 4th-July 6th: Europe #2 (22 shows) ・July 15th-August 18th: North America #3 (20 shows) ・September 8th-17th: Europe #3 (8 shows) ・October 1st-18th: North America #4 (14 shows) 1990 ・February 25th-March 3rd: North America #5 (6 shows) ・March 9th-13th: Brazil (4 shows) ・March 30th-April 14th: North America #6 (4 shows) ・May 7th-14th: Japan (6 shows) ←★Here★ ・June 9th-July 2nd: Europe #4 (18 shows) 《November 7th "ROCK TOKYO" released》 ・November 17th-December 12th: Oceania (16 shows) 《December "LET'S GO FASTER! Release》・December 31: Los Angeles performance This is STRAY CATS in 1989/1990. "LET'S GO FASTER!" was released at the end of 1990, and their second visit to Japan was during the "BLAST OFF!" era. In the first place, "ROCK TOKYO" itself came out before "LET'S GO FASTER!". The second visit to Japan was a tour of six shows in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, and this work was filmed on the second day of two consecutive performances at Club Citta Kawasaki. This work, which conveys such a show, is (naturally) completely official. Of course, the analog feeling cannot be wiped away due to the era, but the screen made into a DVD from the master in the best condition is glossy and beautiful, and the perfectly made shooting and mix are also magnificent. "ROCK TOKYO" was released overseas, but this work has been digitized from the Japanese version, and the documentary scene before the show and the MC are also accompanied by a full translation of Japanese subtitles. The full show is depicted in the beauty of the official reprint. Although the chart hits during the "BLAST OFF!" era did not reach the 80s, the live activities were the largest even during the reunion era. Let's check out the set list that excited the archipelago here. Classics (8 songs) ・ Runaway Boy of Tears: Rumble In Brighton / Stray Cats Strut / Fishnet Stockings / Runnaway Boys / Rock This Town ・ Sexy & Seventeen: Too Hip, Gotta Go / Something's Wrong With My Radio / (She's) Sexy + 17 After the reunion (9 songs) ・ Blast Off: Gene And Eddie / Gina ・ Let's Go Faster: Let's Go Faster / Give It To Me ・ Other covers: Foggy Mountain Breakdown / Summertime Blues / I Fought The Law / Oh Boy / Somethin' Else ... and so on. From the albums after the reunion, there are two songs each, with the core being classics. However, rather than following their career evenly, it is a rich set that condenses and reduces the two albums "STRAY CATS" and "RANT N' RAVE WITH THE STRAY CATS". In addition, the covers are extremely diverse. "I Fought The Law", "Oh Boy", and "Somethin' Else", which will be featured in the Japanese project "ORIGINAL COOL", are also scattered throughout, making it a very colorful show. STRAY CATS will hold a large-scale Japan tour in February 1991 and March/November 1992, but it was their return to Japan in 1990 that sparked this. This work is an official masterpiece video that is not an exaggeration to say that it was the trigger. A masterpiece that was not made into a DVD for some reason and became a phantom. A multi-camera pro shot of the performance at Club Citta Kawasaki on May 8, 1990. This is a DVD version of the out-of-print official video work "ROCK TOKYO". Although the analog feel is unavoidable due to the era, the screen converted to DVD from the master in the best condition is glossy and beautiful, and the perfectly made shooting and mix are also superb. "ROCK TOKYO" was also released overseas, but this work has been digitized from the Japanese version, and the documentary scene before the show and the MC are fully translated into Japanese subtitles.
