The long-awaited Japan tour, which began in 2017 with the release of the album "57TH & 9TH" and declared a return to rock music, will see four shows in total, including three at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on June 6th, 7th, and 8th, and the final show in Osaka on June 10th. The second show at the Budokan on the 7th has been released on Blu-ray directly from high-quality audience footage captured by HD cameras. Taking advantage of the large capacity of Blu-ray, the quality of the original HD camera footage is preserved. The footage was shot from the stands on the left side of the stage, in an environment with a good view with almost no obstacles, with stable angles and close-up shots at key points, making for a complete recording over the course of 107 minutes. And just like the day before, he performed a simple and solid performance that was just as popular as the previous day, with no excess fat stripped away. Although there was no change in the set list, it was nice to see eight Police songs, including "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," which was included in the set from the previous South American tour. And of course, the melancholy that occasionally peeks into the rock style, including the album numbers as well as his solo hits, is unique to Sting. Also, Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes" with his son Joe's vocals was moving. The DVD with the same content is also included in the set. It's easy to watch even if you don't have a Blu-ray player, so it's convenient to have one as a backup. 01. Heading South on the Great North Road 02. Synchronicity II 03.
