The performance in Japan was made possible when "BRAND NEW DAY" won two Grammy Awards and was a triple platinum hit in the United States. The symbolic pro shot has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at the "October 25, 2000: Nippon Budokan" performance. This is the multi-camera pro shot. Sting has always continued his energetic live activities, but during the "BRAND NEW DAY" era, he conducted a particularly large-scale world tour. Along with this, we also recorded the highest number of performances in Japan (along with 1988). First of all, let’s look back at the overall picture of such a tour and check the position of the show. 1999 [“BRAND NEW DAY” released on September 28th] October 14th – December 9th; North America #1 (42 performances) ← *Official UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATER 2000 January 7th – April 10th; Europe #1 (59 performances) April 26th – 30th; North America #2 (3 performances) May 6th – June 17th; Europe #2 (29 performances) June 23rd – September 12th Sun; North America #3 (57 performances), September 23rd-29th; South Africa (5 performances), October 14th-26th; Japan (9 performances) ←★Coco★, November 9th-22nd; Australia (11 performances) 2001, January 12th - February 3rd; Latin America/North America #4 (13 performances), April 19th - 30th; Middle East/Europe #3 (7 performances), May 4th -26th; North America #5 (17 performances); May 31st - July 29th; Europe #4 (45 performances) This is Sting from 1999 to 2001. Not only the two-year period, but also the huge number of performances (more than 170) and the scale of the event, which spans five continents, is overwhelming. This tour is also left as the official video work “LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATER”, but the Nippon Budokan performance of this work is about a year later. This was the 8th concert out of 9 total. This show is also known to have been broadcast on TV on a certain commercial station, and has become a staple symbolizing "The Sting of 2000." This work is also broadcast on TV. It was made into a DVD from the Air Check Master that recently appeared on the internet. Its quality is excellent. It's analog image quality is typical of the era, and the screen feels a little dark by modern standards, so it's hard to say that it's completely official, but it's good enough by the standards of the time. Moreover, the freshness of the master is excellent, and there is almost no damage caused by dubbing or distortion caused by master deterioration. You can fully enjoy the appearance of Sting, who was running at the forefront of the new millennium (dead language), with the glossy visual beauty. What is depicted with its visual beauty is a full show that is similar and different from the official video. Let's organize the set including those differences. 70's/80's Police: Roxanne (★) / Message In A Bottle / When the World Is Running Down (★) / Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic / Every Breath You Take Blue Turtle's Dream: If You Love Somebody Set Them Free/Moon Over Bourbon Street ・Nothing Like the Sun: We'll Be Together/Englishman In New York/Fragile 90's Soul Cage: All This Time (★) ・Ten Summoners Tales; Seven Days/Fields Of Gold(★)/Shape Of My Heart(★)/If I Ever Lose My Faith In You(★)・Brand New Day: A Thousand Years/After The Rain Has Fallen/Perfect Love.. .Gone Wrong/Fill Her Up/Brand New Day/Desert Rose *Note: Songs marked with "★" are not seen in the official video "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATER". ...and it looks like this. And it looks like this. While focusing on the three works "...NOTHING LIKE THE SUN," "TEN SUMMONER'S TALES," and "BRAND NEW DAY," he has selected a wide range of famous songs from his career. Perhaps because it has been more than a year since the album was released, you can enjoy the greatest hits with more classics than the official video. Furthermore, the show's unique production gives a sense of the times. In the commentary corner at the beginning, he talks about his dedication to charity, and also includes an original interview with him in Japan. He talks about his thoughts on Nippon Budokan, the aims of the set list, and his outlook for the 21st century. It seems like a common topic, but those of us who have known it since then also feel nostalgic. 21 years have passed since the scene of this work. Sting has visited Japan many times since then, but this was the only time he has done such a large-scale Japan tour. The image of him singing all-time masterpieces, showing off his authority as a huge figure in the music scene. Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 25th October 2000 PRO-SHOT 1. MC Talk 2. Interview 3.
