Sting is touring the world with his trio project "STING 3.0 Tour", which is a return to his roots. Two new videos that allow you to experience the full show at its finest will be released at the same time. This is the first part of the two-part series. It is a powerful audience shot of the "September 30, 2024 Philadelphia performance". Sting is 73 years old (his birthday is October 2), but his workaholism has not weakened at all, and he is calmly managing a schedule that would make even a person in his 20s complain. To get a sense of how amazing he is, let's start by taking a look at the overview of his current activities. 2024 “STING 3.0 Tour” ・May 25th - August 3rd: Europe #1 (35 performances) ・August 17th: Figline Valdarno performance ・August 31st: Snowmass Village performance ・September 7th: Preston performance ←*BBC RADIO 2 IN THE PARK ・September 17th - November 17th: North America #1 (35 performances + 3 special performances) ←★Here★ ・December 7th: Schladming performance 2025 ・February 8th: Indianapolis performance ・February 14th - March 8th: South America/Mexico (11 performances) ・March 22nd - 26th: South Africa (3 performances) ・April 11th / May 10th + 23rd: North America #2 (3 performances) ・June 6th - July 22nd: Europe #2 (18 performances)This is the schedule after the start of the “STING 3.0 Tour”. Although it was omitted because it was too huge, in fact, in the first half of 2024, a large-scale regular solo tour will also be held. In 2024 alone, there will be more than 90 performances. The Philadelphia performance of this work was the 12th performance of such a "North America # 1" concert. This work conveys such a show, and it is a surprising close-up shot. It is shot looking up from the front of the left side of the stage, and Sting is within reach of you if you reach out and touch him. It seems that it is the front "part" and not strictly the front row (probably the second row), but there is no obstruction to the view filled with Sting without zooming, and the image is no different from the front row. And the camera work also makes the most of the benefits of the special seats. Of course, two members also appear along the highlights, but it is basically Sting. He goes to the other side of the stage as a service because he is the main character, but the zoom offsets his sense of distance. In fact, he is supposed to be moving a lot from left to right on the stage, but he keeps it in the center of the screen as if he is not moving in front of you. What you can enjoy with such a Sting-only shot is the full show of the critically acclaimed "STING 3.0 Tour". As mentioned in the schedule above, the latest tour has already been reported in the pro shot "BBC RADIO 2 IN THE PARK: PRESTON 2024", but that video is just a short set for the festival. This work is a full set that is more than 30 minutes long. In order to get a feel for the overwhelming number of songs, let's organize them here by comparing them. THE POLICE (10 songs)・Outland's D'Amour: Can't Stand Losing You/So Lonely/Roxanne・White Regatta: Message In A Bottle/Walking On The Moon・Synchronicity: King Of Pain (★)/Every Breath You Take・Other: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic/I Burn For You (★)/Driven To Tears SOLO (11 songs)・Nothing Like The Sun: Englishman In New York/Fragile (★)・Soul Cage: Why Should I Cry for You? (★)/All This Time (★)・Ten Summoners' Tales: If I Ever Lose My Faith In You/Fields Of Gold/Seven Days (★★)/Shape Of My Hear・Other: Never Coming Home/I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)/Desert Rose *Note: The "★" mark indicates the classic pro shot "BBC RADIO 2 IN THE PARK: PRESTON Songs that were not seen in "2024". In particular, the "★★" mark is a song that was not even in "BOSTON 2024" released at the same time. ... and so on. The number of famous songs has increased greatly, mainly from "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR" and "TEN SUMMONER'S TALES". In the pro shot, "Fragile" that I thought "What? Why not do it?" is also perfect. Among them, "I Burn For You" is particularly eye-catching. It is a song used in the 1982 movie "Brimstone & Treacle" and written by Sting during his time in LAST EXIT. Although he has played it at sound checks and one-off special performances even in non-smoking, it is the first revival of the "DREAM OF THE BLUE TURTLES Tour" in 38 years as a regular song on the tour. Although there is still no news of the "STING 3.0 Tour" coming to Japan, even if it is realized, you can't expect such a special seat. Moreover, the camerawork is chasing Sting, taking full advantage of such a seat. This is truly a "Sting Total Concentration" piece. This is a close-up shot that stands out even in the video reporting on the latest tour. A powerful audience shot of the "September 30, 2024 Philadelphia performance". It was shot looking up from the front (second row?), and Sting is within touching distance if you reach out and touch him. Even if he goes to the other side of the stage, the camerawork is skillful, as it follows him beautifully with a zoom and keeps him in the center of the screen as if he is not moving in front of you. You can experience the super-special seats of the "STING 3.0 Tour" where you can enjoy the famous songs that you could not see in the masterpiece pro shot "BBC RADIO 2 IN THE PARK: PRESTON 2024".
