"BRAND NEW DAY" became a triple-platinum hit in the US and won two Grammy Awards. Sting was a leading figure in the music industry, entering the new millennium. This soundboard album will let you experience his live performance in your mind. This work captures the "March 28, 2000 London performance." It's a stereo soundboard recording taken at the legendary venue, the Royal Albert Hall (RAH). While the "BRAND NEW DAY Tour" is well-known for its official release "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE" and the pro-shot masterpiece "BUDOKAN 2000," this work is (naturally) a completely different performance. First, let's take a look at the overview of their activities at the time and see where they fit in relation to each other. 1999 (September 28th release of "BRAND NEW DAY"): October 14th - December 9th; North America #1 (42 shows) ← *Official 2000: January 7th - April 10th; Europe #1 (59 shows) ←★Here★: April 26th - 30th; North America #2 (3 shows) ・May 6th - June 17th; Europe #2 (29 shows) ・June 23rd - September 12th; North America #3 (57 shows) ・September 23rd - 29th; South Africa (5 shows) ・October 14th - 26th; Japan (9 shows) ←*BUDOKAN November 9-22, 2000; Australia (11 performances); January 12-February 3, 2001; Latin America/North America #4 (13 performances); April 19-30; Middle East/Europe #3 (7 performances); May 4-26; North America #5 (17 performances); May 31-July 29; Europe #4 (45 performances) Officially, this is a beautiful masterpiece soundboard. This is Sting from 1999-2001. It was the largest tour of his career, conquering five continents and exceeding 270 performances. The official "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE" was the early "North America #1," but this work was the 49th performance of "Europe #1," five months later. Some people may think of the "2000 RAH" as a TV broadcast pro shot, but this work is a different performance. In fact, this year's "RAH" was a big event with 10 consecutive performances, the ninth TV broadcast, and this work was the second. This work, which conveys such a show, is an exquisite FM soundboard. It is the best master provided by an overseas researcher, and its beauty is comparable to that of official works. In fact, there are some scenes where the stereo feeling is unstable, so it is not perfect, but the basic sound quality is even more beautiful than the genuine official work "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE." The biggest point is probably the sound. The official "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE" sounded a bit snappy, perhaps due to the loudness war era, but this work does not have that excessive feeling. Even the drum hit peaks are not clogged, and they are preserved beautifully until the moment of silence. Furthermore, the aforementioned stereo disturbance is only a partial story, and it's so subtle that it's not surprising to hear it on speakers. The stable "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE" is a beautiful work. It also features plenty of repertoire not heard in the official video. This semi-official sound depicts highlights from their home country of England, which is different from "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE." Let's compare it with the Japanese performance pro shot "BUDOKAN 2000." Brand New Day (6 songs) A Thousand Years / After The Rain Has Fallen / Perfect Love...Gone Wrong / Fill Her Up / Brand New Day / Desert Rose Classics (10 songs) THE POLICE: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic / Roxanne (★) / Every Breath You Take Nothing Like the Sun: Englishman In New York / Fragile Ten Summoners' Tales: Fields Of Gold (★) / If I Ever Lose My Faith In You (★) Others: If You Love Somebody Set Them Free / All This Time (★) / I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying (★★) *Note: Songs marked with "★" are not included in the official "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE" album. In particular, songs marked with "★★" are not included in the pro-shot masterpiece "BUDOKAN 2000." Just a little bit more to go! This is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Royal Albert Hall performance on March 28, 2000." This is the best master provided by an overseas researcher, and although there are some scenes where the stereo effect is disturbed, it sounds more natural and beautiful than the official "LIVE FROM THE UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE." You can enjoy highlights from their home country, including repertoire not available on the official video, such as "All This Time" and "I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying."
