Stevie Ray Vaughan is a legendary guitarist who was a symbol of the 80's blues. The out-of-print official video of his only performance in Japan has been reprinted on DVD from the highest peak master. The true identity of this work is "TOKYO 1985", a masterpiece among masterpieces that has been out of print for a long time. This is a multi-camera professional shot of the "January 24, 1985: Shiba Postal Savings Hall (currently Mielparque Hall)" performance. I'm sure some of you were actually there at the time, but the Shiba Postal Savings Hall performance was more than just one. First of all, let's look back at the dates that are a monument to the history of Japanese Western music and check the show's position.・January 20th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall ・January 21st: Nagoya Unryu Hall ・January 23rd: Shiba Postal Savings Hall ・January 24th: Shiba Postal Savings Hall ←★This work★ ・January 25th: Shiba Postal Savings Hall - 5 performances in total. This is all the live performances that SRV left in Japan. Performances were held for three consecutive days at the Shiba Postal Savings Hall, and this work was filmed on the middle of the day. The professional shot that recorded such a show was released only in Japan on VHS/laser disc as "LIVE IN TOKYO" at the time. About 15 years ago, half-official DVDs and CDs were released, but those have long since gone out of print. The live version had deteriorated, and "Testify" was cut out to fit on one CD. Both received extremely poor reviews from overseas enthusiasts who were looking forward to their international release. This work is a copy of such a half official. . . Well, no. We unearthed a mint version of the laser disc from that time, which is said to be of the highest quality. From there, it was made into a detailed DVD. In fact, the quality is impressive. In fact, I have introduced a gift DVDR with a similar concept, but the quality of this work is overwhelmingly improved. Is this due to differences in the state of the original discs used as the source, differences in the precision of digitization, or both? That's no wonder; not only does this work use mint records, but the process is also meticulous. At our store, we have entrusted our LD titles to overseas manufacturers specializing in analog video to convert them into DVDs in a professional environment, and this work went through the same process. It is a DVD that has taken every possible measure to the extent that ``I couldn't ask for anything more.'' What is depicted in its ultimate quality is a miraculous stage realized in Japan, and it is as if you are peering into the “other side” of the masterpiece “LIVE ALIVE”. Here, let's organize the set while comparing it with the official traditional edition. First half (5 songs + 1 song) - Texas Hurricane: Scuttle Buttin' (★) / Voodoo Chile / Cold Shot / Couldn't Stand The Weather (★) / Tin Pan Alley (Dirty Pool) (★) - Soul to Soul : Say What! Second half (5 songs + α)・Texas Flood: Mary Had A Little Lamb/Love Struck Baby/Texas Flood/Lenny (★)/Testify (incl. Third Stone From The Sun) (★) *Note: “★ ” are songs that cannot be heard on the official live album “LIVE ALIVE”. ...and it looks like this. The first half and second half are clearly color-coded, with the first half combining the rush of the "COULDN'T STAND" song with the then-unreleased "Say What!". On the other hand, in the second half, the historical masterpiece “TEXAS FLOOD” number is all at once, and the masterpiece is concentrated and reduced with intense live performance. The golden ensemble with Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon has both the power and maturity to make a flying bird fall, and the freshness of experiencing Asia for the first time and the excitement of an official photoshoot are perfect. There's no way this could be a bad stage. Amidst a series of historical masterpieces, the band's performance in Japan was miraculously realized only once. This is a precisely digitized version of the official video from the Japanese laser disc. Truly a cultural heritage in the history of Japanese Western music. The multi-camera professional shot of the official video of the performance in Japan, "January 24, 1985: Shiba Postal Savings Hall Performance", which was realized only once in his lifetime, has been made into a DVD. The mint-quality Japanese version laser disc was digitized by an overseas manufacturer specializing in analog video, and the visual quality is even better than the half-official version released about 15 years ago. A legendary Japanese record with the highest quality in history, including songs that you couldn't hear on the masterpiece ``LIVE ALIVE'' such as ``Scuttle Buttin','' ``Couldn't Stand The Weather,'' ``Tin Pan Alley (Dirty Pool),'' ``Lenny,'' and ``Testify.''
