Legendary white bluesman Stevie Ray Vaughan. The official video of his only performance in Japan has been decided to be released. SRV's Japan performance was realized in 1985. Among them, the ``January 24, 1985: Shiba Postal Savings Hall'' performance was recorded with professional shots and was also released on VHS/laser disc as ``LIVE IN TOKYO'' at the time. A half-official DVD version was made about 15 years ago, but that has long since been discontinued. This work is a reprint of such a fantastic official video in the highest quality. First of all, let's check the show's position in the schedule of coming to Japan at that time. ・January 20th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall ・January 21st: Nagoya Unryu Hall ・January 23rd: Shiba Postal Savings Hall ・January 24th: Shiba Postal Savings Hall [This work] ・January 25th: Shiba Postal Savings Hall There are 5 performances in total. In Tokyo, the concert was held for three consecutive days at the Shiba Postal Savings Hall (currently Mielparque Hall), and this concert was held on the middle day. This work, which includes such a show, is a truly superb professional shot. Since the original is an official work, it is completely official quality, and the master freshness is also the highest. Unlike VHS recording, there are no dubbing marks, uneven tape running, and no noise. Both video and audio are impenetrable. What is depicted with such quality is SRV enjoying its golden age. Elmore James' cover "The Sky Is Crying" is not included, but everything else is included. Including the last song "Testify", which was cut from the official bootleg CD, you can enjoy the album for about 86 minutes. The show is roughly divided into two parts, the first half is the latest work at that time “COULDN’T STAND THE WEATHER”, and the second half is a solid repertoire of the famous album “TEXAS FLOOD”. It is a style that interweaves the new song "Say What!", which will be included in "SOUL TO SOUL". And SRV and DOUBLE TROUBLE who perform such a set are overwhelming. The golden ensemble with Chris Layton & Tommy Shannon is in full swing, and is in great shape from “Scuttle Buttin’”, which stirs the brain with stereo sound. From there, the coolness of “Say What!” starts without a pause, “Voodoo Chile” gets the venue buzzing with just the wah-wah intro, the rich “Cold Shot”, and even the historic masterpiece “LIVE ALIVE” could not be heard. The repertoire floods in all at once. In the second half, the song becomes even more intense, and songs such as "Mary Had A Little Lamb," "Love Struck Baby," and "Texas Flood," which can't be heard on "LIVE ALIVE," are played one after another, and the 12-minute long "Lenny" is so tense that it's almost on the edge. A great performance that will make you feel excited. The concentration and reduction of “TEXAS FLOOD” will be performed at the highest quality. SRV in Japan ended with just 5 performances. This is a cultural heritage-class pro shot that allows you to witness the first act in the ultimate official quality. A historical masterpiece video that is a treasure of Japanese Western music history. Live at Shiba Yubinchokin Kaikan, Tokyo, Japan 24th January 1985 PRO-SHOT(85:31) 1. Intro. 2. Scuttle Buttin' 3.
