The latest UK tour, titled "Genesis Revisited / Extended Tour 2014", consists of 12 shows, starting in Ipswich on October 12th. The Amity label has released a 4-disc set containing 2 sources, each completely recorded with the highest quality audience recording of the Hammersmith Apollo performance in London on November 1st, which is the 9th performance of the tour. Discs 1 & 2 contain takes that appeared via the internet, and discs 3 & 4 contain original master takes from the familiar taper who provides many high-quality masters mainly in London. It reproduces the fall 2014 edition of "Genesis Revisited" London show with the highest sound quality that is hard to beat. It is clear that the sound is clear and close to the internet source, but if you listen to London Taper's recording alone, it is so high quality that you cannot imagine a better sound. To be honest, Both are so great that I can only say they are a must-listen. The online sound source is probably recorded with the latest digital equipment and has a modern sound, whereas London Taper's is a DAT recording with a vintage feel, and the texture is clearly different. At first glance, the online sound source sounds brighter and more grainy, but the sound of the London Taper, which is gentle on the ears and full of a natural sense of scale, makes you feel the charm of a unique sound that is not found in the online sound source. Masu. I think that opinions will differ depending on taste, but fans will be very happy to be able to listen to two such advanced recordings together. It may seem like a maniacal project, but if you listen to these two wonderful recordings with different tastes, you will easily understand the significance and meaning of this release. Hackett also says some witty lines during his MC, such as ``The museum is open for a little longer'' and ``The dream once more,'' but I think fans really want to see a great live show like this over and over again. Isn't there? The bassist has been replaced by Nick Beggs from Lee Pomroy, but the other members are the same as last time, and you can hear a fulfilling ensemble play in various places. The song selection is almost the same as last year's tour, but this time, the set includes popular songs such as Squonk in the first half, Lilywhite Lileth, and The Knife in the second half, to the delight of fans. Fountain Of Salmacis, which was also shown at the London performance held at the same time last year, is also being played. Firth Of Fifth features guest appearances by Jacko Jaczig and John Hackett. A blockbuster 4-disc set with a total recording time of 4 hours and 44 minutes.
