In 2013, Gadd formed the "Steve Gadd Band" consisting of James Taylor's tour members, and released his first leader album in 25 years, "Gadd's Way," which he produced himself, and also visited Japan. Gadd will soon release a birthday album, "70 Strong," to celebrate his 70th birthday on April 9, 2015, two and a half years after his previous album! As with the previous album, this time, the album features five members: Michael Landau on guitar, Jimmy Johnson on bass, Larry Goldings on Hammond and piano, Walt Fowler on horn, and our very own Gadd, and we are sure to hear an ensemble with even more polished groove! We have a complete recording of a hot live performance held at Catalina's Bar & Grill in Los Angeles in January 2015 by the same five members as the previous album, with the highest quality sound for over 75 minutes!
