Spyro Gyra, led by saxophonist Jay Beckenstein, debuted on GRP Records in 1979. Their music has many jazz elements, even among fusion groups, and the members' musicality, including their live performance techniques, is known to be high. The live performance at the Boston Globe Jazz, released by Mega Disk this time, is a very exciting performance of songs from the album "Alternating Currents," released about three months later. In the middle of the live performance, you can enjoy a wonderful duet between Dave Samuels' marimba and Tom Schumann's keyboard. The data also states that the song they performed, "Caribe '85," is not the "Caribe" released in 2011, so they titled it "Caribe '85." At the end of the live performance, they performed the masterpiece "Shakedown," and at the end, they performed their signature song "Morning Dance," which received a huge cheer just from the intro, as if they were headlining the Boston Globe Jazz Festival. Live at Boston Globe Jazz, Orpheum Theatre, Boston 03/22/1985
