SPANDAU BALLET in 1983 suddenly became the standard-bearer of the New Romantic movement with the huge hit of "TRUE". Introducing a luxurious set of masterpiece soundboard and professional shots that allows you to experience them in their prime. This work includes “Rotterdam performance on September 30, 1983”. This is a 2-disc set with the soundboard recording on DISC 1 and the multi-camera professional shot on DISC 2. At that time, they started to expand into the world with the momentum of "TRUE". The scene was also left in the official video “OVER BRITAIN LIVE IN LONDON!”, but the Rotterdam performance of this work is of course a separate performance. In order to understand the circumstances around that, let's look back at the schedule at that time. [“TRUE” released on March 4th] April 10th - May 1st: UK (5 performances) ← *Official video May 8th: AZZURRO 1983 performance August 13th + 19th: Sweden (2 Performances)・September 21st - October 23rd: Europe (9 performances) ←★Here★・November 18th - December 8th: North America (4 performances)・December 16th: THOMMY'S POP SHOW appearance This is 1983 SPANDAU BALLET of the year. In fact, their data is limited, and we cannot be certain that the above is completely accurate. Although this is just a reference, I think you can understand the flow of the tour and the approximate timeline. Among them, the Rotterdam performance of this work was a concert in the middle of “Europe”, which was the continental European part of the tour. Since they were in the midst of their breakthrough, this show was professionally recorded and broadcast on TV and radio. This work is a two-disc set that couples both of them. The quality is exquisite, and the TV broadcast pro shot is especially wonderful. Of course, it is an air check of analog broadcasting of the era, but the master freshness is tremendous. The beauty of the image is beautiful, with no tape twists or dubbing marks to be seen. By today's digital standards, the resolution is a little low and it's hard to call it "official quality," but by the standards of the time, it's definitely a beautiful image. However, the audio is not as perfect as the video, and there is frequent howling in the beginning, and it gets a little noisy around "Communication" and "Pleasure", but this is a problem with the on-site recording, not the radio waves or recording. Maybe it was. The radio broadcast soundboard has the same feeling (it improves significantly after the 4th song "Code of Love"). To put it bluntly, the audio quality of TV broadcasting is not inferior to radio broadcasting, and in fact, FM sound board discs are unnecessary...I thought, but that is actually not the case. Perhaps due to the broadcast time limit, the TV pro shot ends in the middle of the last song, "To Cut a Long Story Short." However, the radio broadcast included a complete performance of the song and even the final greeting. You can enjoy it thoroughly as a musical product without becoming a complete mess. What is depicted with such quality is the passionate performance of SPANDAU BALLET at its peak, which has taken the world by storm. As mentioned above, although there is a difference in the ending point of "To Cut a Long Story Short," the song list is the same for both TV and radio, so let's organize the set together. True (8 songs) / Foundation / Communication / Pleasure / Code of Love (★) / Gold / Lifetime / Heaven is a Secret (★) / True Classics (5 songs) / Johnny's to Glory: The Freeze (★) / To Cut a Long Story Short・Diamond: Paint Me Down/Instinction/Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)・Others: Glow (★) *Note: “★” indicates “OVER BRITAIN LIVE IN LONDON” !'' Songs you can't listen to. ...and it looks like this. As mentioned above, this tour also became the official video “OVER BRITAIN LIVE IN LONDON!”, but this work not only allows you to enjoy all the songs seen there, but there are also 4 more songs. In addition to the two big hits "Gold" and "True", "Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)" reached number 3 in the UK, "To Cut a Long Story Short" reached number 5, and "To Cut a Long Story Short" reached number 7. Hit singles came out one after another, including ``Lifeline'', ``Instinction'', which ranked 10th, and ``Communication'', which ranked 12th. You can enjoy a rich set that is truly a ``best of live performance'' and ``a collection of singles that you can see with your own eyes.'' This can be said about any band, but the most dazzling moment is the moment they make a breakthrough. They are filled with confidence and joy that their music has been recognized, and their honest excitement before their egos develop makes their music even more lively. What this work is packed with is SPANDAU BALLET that was at that moment. A multi-camera professional shot that allows you to witness the performance, and a soundboard album that was kept tight until the end of the performance. A 2-disc set with the soundboard recording of "September 30, 1983 Rotterdam Performance" on DISC 1 and the multi-camera professional shot on DISC 2. In particular, the TV broadcast pro shot is wonderful, and the beauty of the image is beautiful, with no tape twists or dubbing marks. Unfortunately, it ends in the middle of the last “To Cut a Long Story Short,” but DISC 1 of the FM sound board can hold it there. It is fully recorded up to the closing greetings. The official video ``OVER BRITAIN LIVE IN LONDON!'' is a luxurious 2-disc set where you can enjoy plenty of early single hits, including 4 songs, 2 big hits ``Gold'' and ``True.''
