SPANDAU BALLET was at its peak in 1984 with successive hits "TRUE" and "PARADE." A super-excellent video that allows you to witness that appearance has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at the “Dortmund performance on November 21, 1984.” This is a multi-camera professional shot that was broadcast as part of West Germany's famous event "ROCKPOP IN CONCERT" series. This event was a festival that was held from 1978 to 1989 on the premise that it would be broadcast on ZDF (Second German Television), and in 1984 it was held in June and November. SPANDAU BALLET performed in the November episode along with U2, Bryan Adams, Gianna Nannini, TALK TALK, and WATERBOYS. On the other hand, from their own point of view, this show is also part of the “PARADE Tour”. Speaking of 1984, it is a memorable place because the legendary performance in Japan was realized. First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the show’s position. 1984/May 13th: GOLDEN ROSE 1984 appearance [“PARADE” released on June 22nd]/June 30th + September 15th: Event appearance/November 10th-18th: Japan (8 performances)/11 March 21st - December 19th: Europe #1 (8 performances) ←★Here★ 1985, January 21st - March 4th: Europe #2 (12 performances), April 19th - 22nd: North America #1 (3 performances) ・May 10th: GOLDEN ROSE 1985 appearance ・June 30th - July 10th: North America #2 (4 performances) ・July 13th: LIVE AID appearance《September “THROUGH THE BARRICADES” ” Production begins >> This is the 1984/1985 SPANDAU BALLET. There is very little data on them, so it cannot be said that the above is completely accurate. However, the order of events can be rearranged, so please use this as a reference only. After the release of "PARADE", they held one-off performances, and about six months later they decided to land in Japan. The “ROCKPOP IN CONCERT” appearance of this work was also the show immediately after the performance in Japan, just three days later. This work, which records such a stage, is truly a superb video that can be labeled as "super". Even if it is a professional shot, it tends to become an analog standard after 80 years, but “ROCKPOP IN CONCERT” is different. Although it is impossible to say whether it is a rebroadcast or a station master, it is clear that analog radio waves are not used, and the detailed resolution down to skin luster and wrinkles, as well as the ultra-vivid coloring, are completely digital standards. It can be released as an official DVD as it is...or should I say, it is a dimension that there are not many official works that have beautiful 80's footage like this... What is depicted with such transcendent visual beauty is the passionate performance of the Golden Age, which also revives the legendary performance in Japan. Perhaps because of the broadcast time or because of the festival format, it only lasts about 45 minutes, but in that time it contains the most special songs of the time. Let's organize that gorgeous set. True (4 songs) ・Communication/Gold/True/Lifetime Parade (3 songs) ・Only When You Leave/Round And Round (★)/Nature Of The Beast (★) Classics (2 songs) ・Johnny's To Glory: To Cut a Long Story Short・Diamond: Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “LIVE FROM THE N.E.C.” ...and it looks like this. Although it is a concentrated reduction of the first four works, its concentration is not that great. After all, all of the songs except "Nature Of The Beast" are singles. Furthermore, five songs made it into the UK Top 5: "Only When You Leave (3rd place)," "Gold (2nd place)," "True (1st place)," "Chant No. 1 (3rd place)," and "Cut A Long Story Short." (5th place)”. This is a super-excellent multi-camera professional shot that is a "moving single collection" drawn with shining visual beauty. It's perfect for remembering their legendary performances in Japan, but it's also the perfect piece to experience them for the first time. It can be said that it is even better than the official masterpieces “TRUE” and “PARADE”. This is definitely SPANDAU BALLET's historical super-definitive edition.
