Unlike the previous title, this is a definitive album that contains a clear and noise-free live performance at Binghamton University in New York State from the world tour after the release of Milestone Label's masterpiece "Don't Ask". In the 1970s, Sonny Rollins released a solid album every year. "Don't Ask" was released following "Easy Living" in 1977 and "Don't Stop the Carnival" in 1978. This is a quartet formation without Larry Coryell, who participated in the album, so you can fully listen to Rollins' tenor, making it a one-horn quartet. Rollins' tenor was said to be fusion-oriented in the studio, but when it comes to live performances, he livens up the atmosphere with his unrestrained and bold play. The sound quality was said to be "great content but too much noise" on the Internet, but in this title, the noise that was harsh on the ears is hardly felt. In particular, the intro part of the first song "Harlem Boy" with a single tenor can be heard without any problems. The only disappointment is that "Don't Stop the Carnival" is faded out due to broadcast time. Even with that in mind, I think it's well worth listening to this album.
