SKID ROW in 1991 was in the midst of its heyday, sending "SLAVE TO THE GRIND" to No. 1 in the US. Two new titles that will allow you to experience the glory of that scene at its finest will be released simultaneously. This is the first of two consecutive releases. It is a superb audience recording of the "December 16, 1991 Goppingen performance". This two-part series is a sister work that is closely related to the time, content, and even the recorder. In order to explain its meaning, let's first look back on the activities at that time. 1991 May 24-June 10: North America #1a (11 shows) {SLAVE TO THE GRIND released June 11th} June 11-August 3: North America #1b (27 shows) August 13-September 6: Europe #1 (8 shows) ←※SLAVE TO MANNHEIM September 30-October 15: Japan #1 (11 shows) ←※FORCED TO CRACK November 11-December 19: Europe #2 (27 shows) ←★Here★ December 28-31: North America #2a (3 shows) 1992 January 9-June 22: North America #2b/South America #1 (85 shows) August 7-15: South America #2 (6 shows) August 22: MONSTERS OF ROCK 1992"《September 22nd release of "B-SIDE OURSELVES"》・September 25th-October 10th: Japan #2/Asia and others (10 performances)←※BUDOKAN 1992・November 12th: Switzerland performance 1993・January 30th-February 6th: Oceania (3 performances)・June 13th: New York performance This is the "SLAVE TO THE GRIND Tour" that lasted for two years. It was a huge world tour that came to Japan twice and boasted a huge heyday. Among them, the Goppingen performance of this work was the 24th performance of the middle "Europe #2". Speaking of the masterpiece of 1991, the sound board press masterpiece "SLAVE TO MANNHEIM (Zodiac 062)" reigned as the masterpiece, but it was about four months later. This vacuum-packed work from such a show is a superb item unearthed from the collection of a famous artist. The master is Mr. Stephane. If you have read this article, you may already know that this person is a taper who was active in Central Europe from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. Recently, he has digitized his own recording collection from the original cassettes. He has been releasing them one after another. The collection includes a number of great masterpieces, including IRON MAIDEN's masterpiece "DEFINITIVE PARIS 1993", SCORPIONS' "PARIS 1990", MOTLEY CRUE's "PARIS 1989", BON JOVI's "PARIS 1993", and more. In fact, SKID ROW's "FREIBURG 1991", which will be released at the same time, is also a "Stephane" collection and a sister release at the same time. And this work is outstanding even among such a collection of masters. "Stephane" works are actually quite diverse, ranging from audience-like to soundboard-like recordings. Among them, this work is quite soundboard-like. Although the bass drum's tone does not feel airy, it is also dense and not sparse, and the extremely thick core and fine details are thrust at a zero-distance feeling. The vocals are particularly strong. Not only are the lyrics clearly clear to each word, but even the breathing disturbed by aggressive action is super clear. Of course, the guitar and rhythm section are also beautifully separated, and you are not bothered by the surrounding voices. As you are immersed, you even start to wonder, "Is this an FM broadcast?" Such a soundboard-class clear sound depicts a full show of SKID ROW, which has received the wind of its heyday with its whole body. As mentioned above, the masterpiece of this period is "SLAVE TO MANNHEIM", so let's organize the set while comparing it. Slave to the Grind (6 songs) Riot Act / Slave to the Grind / Psycho Love / Quicksand Jesus (★) / Get the Fuck Out / Monkey Business Others (9 songs) Skid Row: Piece of Me / Here I Am (★) / 18 and Life / Big Guns / Tornado/Mudkicker (★) / I Remember You / Youth Gone Wild Other covers: Holidays in the Sun (★★: Sex Pistols) / Psycho Therapy (★: Ramones) *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on the masterpiece "SLAVE TO MANNHEIM". In particular, the "★★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on the sister album "FREIBURG 1991". ...And so it goes. Since it's 1991, you might think that the show would start with "Slave to the Grind", but it starts with the unexpected "Riot Act". The pre-show announcements are also well recorded, so you can see what the actual show was like. Overall, the style is to condense and reduce the two great masterpieces "SKID ROW" and "SLAVE TO THE GRIND" and season them with cover songs. On this day, the Pistols' "Holidays In The Sun," which was also a bonus for the Japanese version of "SLAVE TO THE GRIND," was chosen. In recent years, more and more tapers have been releasing famous HR/HM recordings, such as Scandinavian "Per Erik" and German "G.Mann." Among them, Mr. "Stephane" stands out in both the number of works and the average quality. Even in such a collection of masters, this is an excellent sister work that vacuum-packs the heyday of SKID ROW with a soundboard-like sound. An excellent audience recording of the "December 16, 1991 Goppingen performance." A masterpiece that is "like a soundboard" digitized from the original master of the popular master "Stephane." The extremely thick core is dense and not sparse, and the fine details are thrust at you with a sense of zero distance. In particular, the vocals are super clear, not just every word of the lyrics, but even the breathing that is disturbed by the aggressive action. The unexpected "Riot Act" and the precious "Holidays In The Sun" are also interesting new masterpieces.
