Introducing full-length live footage of SKID ROW in their prime! This film was shot at their San Jose performance on March 10, 1992, a segment from their US tour, featuring the up-and-coming band PANTERA as support. When the stage suddenly lights up at the beginning, the camera shakes, causing a moment of anxiety, but the footage quickly stabilizes. The shot is from the second-floor seats on the right side of the stage, with no obstructions like audience heads or fists. While the stage is expansive, the frequent use of zoom ensures a masterful shot that captures all the highlights. The sound is also outstanding. Even the bass, which can often be thin, reaches the listener directly, and the subtle crescendos of the drums are clearly visible. Despite the clarity, the explosive energy of the audience is also ultra-realistic. At the time, SKID ROW were at the height of their power, having charted to number one in the US with their second album, "SLAVE TO THE GRIND," in 1991 and touring the world extensively. Their popularity was overwhelming, and idol-like squeals were everywhere. At the same time, as evidenced by the support band PANTERA, their emphasis at the time was firmly on "tough and wild." In response, many male fans roared along to the thrashy "Slave To The Grind" and punkish numbers, creating a riotous atmosphere with a jumble of male and female enthusiasm. The third track, "Here I Am," epitomizes this mood. Sebastian Bach leaps onto the stage just as he finishes singing the final verse, erupting in a roar of screams, yells, and screams. Even the cameras in the second-floor seats began to shake, as if a real riot were occurring. The crowd was already in a frenzy, clinging to Buzz, the crew desperately trying to pull him up, and the guys watching with glee...it was only the third song, but the excitement was unrelenting. The excitement was at a new high, and they continued to pump out classics and popular hits one after another. They chose a mix of seven tracks from their debut album "SKID ROW" and eight from "SLAVE TO THE GRIND," adding a touch of the Ramones' "Psycho Therapy" sung by Rachel Bolan (though "B-SIDE OURSELVES" hadn't even been released at the time). They delivered a bang, playing the best of their two best-of albums in one go. Even the ballad "18 and Life" erupted in screams, yells, and sing-alongs, far from cooling down, and instead only heightened the excitement. Everything they did worked, and everything they did ignited a frenzy. This is the power of a goddess' smile, the power of an era that will never be resurrected no matter how hard the band members themselves try in later years. This was a moment of ecstasy, a hyper SKID ROW, a frenzied live performance that was only possible because of their refined and wild buzz. This is a "masterpiece video of the era" that captures it all from the audience's perspective. Live at San Jose State Event Center, San Jose, CA. USA 10th March 1992 AMAZING SHOT 1.
