Official quality 90-minute multi-camera professional shot footage of SCORPIONS' 2012 live show has arrived! SCORPIONS' "FINAL STING WORLD TOUR 2012" tour began in March this year, and after touring Russia and European countries, they began their US tour in June. They performed great shows all over the US until early July. Then in August, the band continued to perform at European summer festivals. This work records the highlight of the show, the live show at "Wacken Open Air" in Germany on August 4th, for 90 minutes based on the local TV broadcast material. Unfortunately, it is not a complete recording, as new songs "Sting In The Tail" and "Raised In Rock" were cut from the set that day. However, it is worth watching, with valuable interviews featured in three places and video quality that would not be surprising if it was officially released as is! The opening features the band landing at the airport in a jet plane, riding in a motorcade to the venue, Rudolf introducing the dressing room, and many fans and musicians making comments expressing their respect for SCORPIONS, with a touch like a documentary. The live starts with the second song of the day, "Make It Real". The clear and vivid screen, the powerful cuts, and of course the sound can be enjoyed with a perfect stereo soundboard. The band's performance in front of tens of thousands of fans filling the venue, including Klaus Meine's expansive singing voice and Rudolf Schenker's energetic actions, gives a sense of dignity worthy of their legendary career. "Is There Anybody There?" and "The Zoo", which follow "Make It Real", involve the fans in the venue, even though the songs are different, and make them listen carefully to the live. After an interview with Klaus, the live moves to the middle. From live staples such as "Coast To Coast" and "Loving You Sunday Morning", to "Rhythm Of Love" remade in the latest studio album "COMEBLACK", and even "Tease Me Please Me" and "Hit Between The Eyes" selected from the masterpiece "CRAZY WORLD", the active performance will greatly entertain the listeners (you can see that it is raining heavily from "Tease Me Please Me" and "Hit Between The Eyes", but the band's performance and the enthusiasm of the fans do not fade at all). The second half of the live shows a series of impressive scenes, from "Dynamite" to "Blackout" with James Kottak's drum solo "Kottak Attack" (note that it features masterpieces that are not featured in the set such as "No One Like You" and "Animal Magnetism"), and "Six String Sting" where Matthias Jabs performs a solo while being hit by the rain. The excitement of the festival finally reaches its peak when the classic song "Big City Nights" is played as the last song of the set. For the encore, three classic songs from "LOVE AT FIRST STING" are played in a row: "Coming Home", "Still Loving You", "Rock You Like A Hurricane", and "LOVE AT FIRST STING". (The statues of Klaus, Rudolf and Matthias appearing on the stage during "Coming Home" is also a big highlight)! The ending, which captures the band and the venue after the show, is also moving. This year's SCORPIONS stage at "Wacken Open Air" did not include past members as in 2006, but the focus is on songs after Matthias joined, allowing you to fully enjoy the worldwide SCORPIONS live show. We hope that fans will enjoy this outstanding footage that would not only be released as a press DVD, but would also fit in with an official release.
