The long-awaited "masterpiece of the PURE INSTINCT era"! SCORPIONS in 1996, who mastered the essence of Scorpion-style hard rock with the melancholic masterpiece "PURE INSTINCT." The ultimate pro shot, serving as the "official substitute," is here. This work was shot at the "August 24, 1996 Bremerhaven performance." This is a multi-camera pro shot. Speaking of pro shots of the "PURE INSTINCT Tour," the classic "MOSCOW 1997 PRO-SHOT" is familiar, but this work is an even more superior, superb master. It's truly worthy of being called "the masterpiece of the PURE INSTINCT era." Before we get into the quality of this work, let's first look at the show's position. Let's check the relative positions from the summary of activities at that time, along with "MOSCOW 1997 PRO-SHOT". 1996 May 1: Kuala Lumpur performance (May 21st release of "PURE INSTINCT") June 5th - August 17th: North America (50 performances) August 24th: Bremerhaven performance ←★This work★ August 30th - September 11th: Asia (5 performances) October 5th - December 3rd: Europe #1 (30 performances) 1997 May 11th: Steinheim performance June 24th - July 19th: Europe #2 (15 performances) ←※MOSCOW 1997: October 2-11: Germany (3 shows); November 8-23: Latin America (8 shows); 1998: June 18-July 1: Europe #3 (4 shows); October 3: Rock for Germany. This is SCORPIONS from 1996-1998. After the "PURE INSTINCT Tour," they moved on to the experimental album "EYE II EYE" and the other-school efforts "MOMENT OF GLORY" and "ACOUSTICA," marking the end of their mainstream hard rock era. Meanwhile, this Bremerhaven performance was just before the Asian leg, which included a Japan tour. It was a festival appearance in their native Germany. As some of you may already know, this show was also known for its FM broadcast, and the soundboard album "PURE INSTINCT IN GERMANY 1996: FM MASTER" was a huge hit. This work is the video version of that. Of course, this is a different TV broadcast version from the FM broadcast, but it's not a conventional air check. It's a new master released by SCORPIONS' official channel. As you may know if you've read this article, SCORPIONS has recently been releasing a series of classic pro shots on their official channel. What's surprising is the quality. The image and sound quality are overwhelming, surpassing any previously released footage. Perhaps due to the unique mastering, even the digital rebroadcast footage has been reborn more vividly. Some of you may have experienced this incredible power in "ROCKPOP IN CONCERT 1983" and "KALEIDOSPOP 1977," but this is the 1996 version. In other words, it's the "official video of the PURE INSTINCT Tour" that enthusiasts have been clamoring for! This completely official-quality footage depicts a show that's different from "MOSCOW 1997 PRO-SHOT." Let's also take a look at the set list, packed with rare songs. Pure Instinct (4 songs) - Oh Girl (I Wanna Be With You) (*) / You And I / Wild Child (*) / Stone In My Shoe (*★) Forbidden Tattoo (4 songs) - Bad Boys Running Wild / Big City Nights / Still Loving You / Rock You Like A Hurricane Others (8 songs) - Lovedrive: Loving You Sunday Morning / Coast To Coast / Holiday - Crazy World: Tease Me Please Me / Hit Between The Eyes (★) / Wind Of Change - Others: Blackout / Alien Nation (★) *Note: * indicates songs exclusive to this tour. ★ indicates songs not seen on the tour's classic "MOSCOW 1997: PRO-SHOT." ...and so on. Compared to the soundboard album "PURE INSTINCT IN GERMANY 1996" from the same show, "The Zoo" is missing and the track order is different. While the FM broadcast is probably more faithful to the actual show, the approximately 82-minute footage is still worth watching. Particularly important are the new songs from "PURE INSTINCT." As mentioned above, SCORPIONS embarked on a musical experimentation journey after this, returning to the world of authentic hard rock with 2004's "UNBREAKABLE." As a result, the "PURE INSTINCT" repertoire is comprised of rare songs that have rarely been performed since. In particular, "Stone In My Shoe" was dropped from the set during the tour and was not even available on the "Moscow 1997 Pro-Shot" from the "Europe #2" leg. This is also why it can be asserted as "the masterpiece of the PURE INSTINCT era." "PURE INSTINCT" is a masterpiece that gave us a taste of SCORPIONS-style hard rock with plenty of melancholy. This is a superb pro-shot that allows you to enjoy that era with a completely official master. This is the long-awaited, absolute footage, realized after 29 years. This is a multi-camera pro-shot of the "August 24, 1996 Bremerhaven performance." This authentic, official master, released on the band's official channel, boasts stunning visuals that surpass anything seen before. It also features a wealth of rare new songs, including "Stone In My Shoe," a track not even seen on the classic pro-shot "MOSCOW 1997 PRO-SHOT" from the same period. The long-awaited "PURE INSTINCT masterpiece of the era" is finally here, 28 years later. Wiese Docks, Bremerhaven, Germany 24th August 1996 PRO-SHOT 1. Intro 2. Tease Me, Please Me 3.
