SCORPIONS in 1980, solidifying their foundation and accelerating towards the coming golden age. A live album that allows you to fully experience the precious moment before their breakthrough is now available. This work is recorded from the "September 22, 1980 Grenoble performance". It is a full audience recording that vacuum-packed the whole story. Even in the long history of SCORPIONS, the "ANIMAL MAGNETISM" era is known as a "secret recording region". Despite their active efforts towards world domination, for some reason there are extremely few sound records. Although "ANIMALIZED IN MILWAUKEE" has become a standard, it was not satisfactory. To explain the meaning of this, let's first look back at the overview of their activities at that time. {"ANIMAL MAGNETISM" released on March 31st}・April 11th - May 11th: West Germany (25 performances)・May 13th - 19th: UK #1 (6 performances)・May 23rd - August 6th: North America (59 performances)←※ANIMALIZED IN MILWAUKEE・August 16th: First Monsters Of Rock appearance・September 9th - October 2nd: Europe (20 performances)←★Here★・October 5th - 28th: UK #2 (20 performances)This is SCORPIONS in 1980. The highlight of that time was the participation in the first Monsters Of Rock, but the Grenoble performance of this work was one month after that role. It was the 11th concert of the "European" leg. Our standard "ANIMALIZED IN MILWAUKEE" was a North American tour, but the problem was that it was a short set. At that time in North America, SCORPIONS was still an undercard, and even in "ANIMALIZED IN MILWAUKEE", it was Ted Nugent's opening before DEF LEPPARD. It was a long time that was far from a full set. On the other hand, the "European" leg was the headliner. This work allows you to enjoy such a full asset of over 80 minutes. Now, let's organize the full set here. Lovedrive (6 songs) Lovedrive/Loving You Sunday Morning/Holiday/Always Somewhere/Another Piece Of Meat/Can't Get Enough Animal Magnetism (5 songs) Don't Make No Promises (Your Body Can't Keep) (★)/Animal Magnetism/The Zoo/Lady Starlight (★★)/Make It Real Classics (6 songs) Taken by Force: We'll Burn the Sky/He's A Woman - She's A Man/Steamrock Fever (★) Others: Pictured Life/Robot Man/In Trance *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that haven't been played since the 90s. The "★★" mark in particular indicates songs exclusive to this tour. ...And so it goes. The album is centered around the two albums released after Matthias Jabs joined, but one third of the album is still made up of classics from the Uli Jon Roth era. Not only the balance but also the individual songs are different from other tours, with "Don't Make No Promises (Your Body Can't Keep)" and "Starlight" standing out. And the sound that conveys such a full show is also wonderful. Although it is a recording that has been known for a long time, this work is a masterpiece that has been digitized from the best master, and it is the highest peak update board that has been polished by our own mastering. In fact, the sound is fresher than the conventional board and is much easier to listen to than the conventional master. To be honest, the previous master was bothered by the overpeak distortion and the tingly noise, and the pitch was also significantly faster. This work has almost eliminated such defects. Although the feeling of the vintage audience of the recording itself remains the same, thanks to the crisp stability, the performance sound and vocals stand out clearly, and the details reach the ears firmly. It is a world of difference from the conventional master that I listened to while erasing the noise in my brain. The recording itself is valuable, and the full set was hard to enjoy, so it was a hidden place called "ANIMAL MAGNETISM Tour". This is a cultural heritage album that allows you to experience the whole picture on site. The best master and polished performance bring out the best of the famous recordings. This is an audience recording of the "September 22, 1980 Grenoble performance". This is a full live album of the "ANIMAL MAGNETISM Tour", which is a valuable recording itself, and is a highest peak update album that further polishes the best masters by our own shop. The tingly noise and crazy pitch have been greatly improved, and the performance sounds and vocals are clearer than the conventional masters. You can experience the delicious full show of the famous songs from the Uri era, "Don't Make No Promises" and "Starlight".
