This 2-hour, 26-minute recording captures the full June 12 Chicago performance from the North American tour following the release of 1985's "Beyond Appearances," captured from a recently leaked stereo soundboard master. While the recording lacks the live feel of a live performance due to being directly connected to the mix desk, the sound balance is perfectly balanced, and the synths and effects, like those of the '80s, are perfectly recreated. The live performance, centered around eight tracks from the album, also features plenty of classic '70s hits, including a guest appearance by Buddy Guy midway through the show, engaging in a heated guitar battle with Santana. Surprisingly, there are few full live soundboard recordings from this tour, making this a must-listen collector's edition for fans.
