A masterpiece pro shot, which can be said to be a sequel to the 1993 official video "SACRED FIRE, LIVE IN MEXICO", has been decided to be released. After releasing "MILAGRO" in 1992, SANTANA began energetic live activities. In particular, in May 1993, they carried out a mini tour in South America, and produced the video work "SACRED FIRE, LIVE IN MEXICO" and the live album "SACRED FIRE: LIVE IN SOUTH AMERICA" based on that. However, these two works were not the only professional records. This work is a multi-camera pro shot of the "Buenos Aires performance on May 29, 1993", which was the final day of this South American tour. First, let's take a look at the overview of this South American tour.・May 22nd: Mexico City *Official DVD ・May 23rd: Mexico City *Official DVD ・May 26th: Caracas (Venezuela) ・May 29th: Buenos Aires [This work] This was a one-week mini tour with four performances in total. The official DVD "LIVE IN MEXICO" was produced from the first two performances in Mexico, but the official live album "LIVE IN SOUTH AMERICA" is only credited as "Recorded from various locations on the 2015 US tour." It is not clear which songs were taken at which times. In contrast, this work contains the performance in Argentina, which was the last performance of the mini tour. It is truly a sequel and supplement to the official DVD "LIVE IN MEXICO". This work is a superb product that is worthy of complementing the official work in terms of quality. It contains local TV broadcasts, but the wonderfulness is completely different from the blurry images that you would imagine with the so-called "90s + South American" stuff. It is not exactly the same as "LIVE IN MEXICO", but it is enough to be used officially as a bonus video. Of course, if the camera work is perfect, the sound is also a completely official sound board. In addition to such high quality broadcasting, the master freshness is also outstanding. Even though it is more than 20 years ago, there is no deterioration such as line noise, tracking noise, tape distortion, etc. The color development is vivid and there is no color bleeding, so the image is beautiful with an edge to the details. The performance depicted with that quality is wonderful. "LIVE IN MEXICO" was also a work that left "SANTANA in the 90s" in a magnificent way, but it was a passionate performance that only came right after that. Moreover, you can also see "Viva La Vida (Life Is For Living)" and "Somewhere In Heaven", which were not seen in "LIVE IN MEXICO". The latter is a nice song, especially since it has not been done much since this period. In addition, "Oye Como Va", "Esperando", and "Open Invitation" are recorded in two takes each, but if you look closely, the camera work is edited separately. Details of the broadcast are not available, but it may cover different broadcasts of the same show. Although SANTANA has not had many hits since the late 80s, they have always played hot Latin rock without caring about commercial waves. This is a masterpiece that can be said to be the final volume of the "SACRED FIRE" series that tells the story of their 90s. It is a great piece of work, and a fun collection to use as a subtext to the official footage. Estadio Velez Sarsfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina 29th May 1993 PRO-SHOT (84:42) 1.
