He joined Fairport Convention, recorded three historic masterpieces in just one year, and left in November 1969. After that, he started a solo career and recorded the Newcastle performance on October 12th and the York performance on October 14th around the time of the release of his second solo album ``Sandy'' in 1972, using good audience recordings at the time.
