This is a two-disc set of the only live performance at the Budokan, RUSH's only visit to Japan, recorded in high quality audience sound. This Budokan performance has been recorded in a number of ways, rare in the history of RUSH, with as many as five or six different recordings. "GRACE STROKE," which appeared in 2009, was a big hit, using the original cassette, which had never been available among traders, directly, unlike any other recordings known up until that point. The master cassette of the 120-minute tape contains the intro from the Three Stooges to Distant Early Warning in the 60-minute A-side, and "YYZ" from the middle to the end on the B-side. The sound has excellent separation and each musical note is very clear. Particularly the A-side is one of the best sound quality on the tour, and the historic live performance is vacuum-packed. Unfortunately, the missing part due to tape reversal (from "Red Sector A" to 1:07 of "YYZ") is supplemented by "AT BUDOKAN" on the POWER GATE label, but the sound quality suddenly drops at that part, which shows the freshness of this master. There is some sound fluctuation on the B side after the tape reversal, but it also recovers clear again from about 50 seconds into the drum solo. From then on, you can enjoy the show with stable high sound quality until the end. In addition, since it has been remastered this time, you can enjoy a more scaled-up sound compared to the previously released "GRACE STROKE"! This only Japan tour is a total of four performances in Aichi, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Budokan. The first three performances were unusually small for RUSH, with few customers and a quiet reaction. However, the Budokan is not inferior to the large venues where RUSH usually plays, and as you can hear from listening to this work, the audience is just as excited as in Europe and the United States. Since there are no recordings of all the performances, it is difficult to say for sure, but this may have been the only live performance where RUSH was able to show their true potential. The only live performance in Japan, the only live performance in Tokyo, the only live performance at Budokan, and the only live performance at their true potential... This work is truly the one and only LIVE AT BUDOKAN. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 21st November 1984 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(from Original New Master) Disc 1(51:29) 1. Three Stooges 2.
