Roy Buchanan/Australia 1981 Complete

From the 1981 Australian tour, the show in Brisbane, Australia on July 5th was recorded almost in full on the soundboard from the local FM on-air master. First of all, the only recordings from that year were broadcast recordings from the North American tour in the fall, and the Australian tour itself is quite rare. The set started with "Turn to Stone", and included "Daisy Miss Lizzy", "Green Onion", and the final three Jimi Hendrix songs "Hey Joe", "Foxy Lady", and "Purple Haze". Most of the songs were covers, but even up to "Messiah Again", there was plenty of guitar playing that made full use of his signature picking harmonics technique, and the thick, metallic, and richly expressive guitar of the Telecaster.
