ROXY MUSIC reached its peak in 1983, when their final album ``AVALON'' reached No. 1 in the UK. Their new excavation live in Japan is here. This work includes the “February 9, 1983: Nippon Budokan” performance. This is a superb audience recording. Their first visit to Japan was in 1979, and this was their second visit. First of all, let's look back at the schedule of coming to Japan at the peak of its popularity and check the position of the show. ・February 1st: Osaka Fertival Hall ・February 2nd: Osaka Fertival Hall ・February 3rd: Nagoya City Public Hall ・February 5th: Fukuoka Sunpalace Hall ・February 7th: Kyoto Kaikan ・February 9th Sun: Nippon Budokan [This work] February 10: Nippon Budokan All 7 performances. The first time they came to Japan, there were only three performances in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, but the second time they more than doubled the number. This work was a concert on the first day of Nippon Budokan 2 DAYS, which was a highlight among them. This work, which contains the highlights of such a climax, is an extremely clear and exquisite recording. This show was once recorded as Ayanami label's masterpiece "JAPAN TOUR 1983", but this work is a completely different recording. A new master has been discovered that far exceeds that masterpiece. The sound is truly amazing. What's most wonderful is the brilliant transparency. It must be an audience recording that inhales the real enthusiasm of the peak of popularity, but the atmosphere is extremely transparent and the fine details are very clear. As you can tell from the tone, it's not close contact at zero distance, but you can hardly feel the venue's reverberation. You get the illusion that you're performing a show in a vacuum...Well, of course, if it was really a vacuum, there wouldn't be any sound, but the sound is so tight that it doesn't blur. Of course, not only is it clear, but the core of the sound is also strong. Although it is different from the close feeling, the performance that jumps straight into it is very effective. Ayanami's "JAPAN TOUR 1983" was also a great recording from the 1980s, but to be honest, there is no comparison. Even though you can clearly tell that it is an audience recording, the clarity and direct feeling are almost like that of a line recording class...It is an unusual high quality sound that makes you feel strange. There is a reason why it became such a famous recording. In fact, this recording was made by a legendary master, who worked on countless masterpieces from the 80s, including by the Stones, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck. This work has been made into a CD directly from the treasured original cassette, and it is not only a great recording, but also a masterpiece among the ultimate Gene's fresh masterpieces. What is depicted with such a perfect sound is the ultimate ROXY MUSIC. This tour is also left as official live albums “THE HIGH ROAD” and “HEART STILL BEATING”, but these official groups are only excerpts and compilations. On the other hand, this work is a real full show that goes all at once. You can enjoy plenty of famous songs that can't be heard on ``HEART STILL BEATING'' such as ``Do The Strand'' from ``FOR YOUR PLEASURE'' and ``The Main Thing,'' ``Take A Chance With Me,'' and ``Tara'' from AVALON. Of course, since it is a cassette recording from the 1980s, it is inevitable that there will be gaps such as tape changes, but those are supplemented with the conventional masterpiece “JAPAN TOUR 1983”. It seamlessly records a full show of about 100 minutes. And the performance that spins such a culmination is also wonderful. Actually, there was a gap of about 4 months before coming to Japan, but this work is the 6th performance in Japan. It was enough for them, who were still in their 30s, to regain their composure, and they were full of enthusiasm for their highlight performance. The big family of Bryan Ferry, Phil Manzanera, and Andy McKay, along with eight support members, put on a passionate performance that perfectly meshes with each other. And the sound of this work is so wonderful that you can clearly understand the subtleties of each individual. The ``AVALON'' era reached its destination. This is a new excavation live album that allows you to witness the scene with super and exquisite sound. This work is a full 100% real experience that even the official work "HEART STILL BEATING" could not experience, and moreover, it is set in Japan. A masterpiece from Japan that will shock the world.
