Rory Gallagher from the "PHOTO-FINISH" era, who returned to the trio band for the first time in a long time. The release of a super-excellent professional shot with a dazzling fresh mood has been decided. This work contains the "London performance on January 27, 1979". It is a multi-camera professional shot broadcast on BBC's famous TV program "ROCK GOES TO COLLEGE". The quality is perfect and ironclad. Even if it is said to be "official class", it is a mixture of cobs and stones, and many of them are accompanied by the pillow words "at that time" or "as an excavation". However, this work is not at that level, and can be released as it is even in the modern era of digital greatness. It is super vivid and super beautiful and extremely elegant. In fact, I can't say for sure because the detailed data has not been transmitted, but it is definitely "the original master of the broadcasting station" or "a recent digital rebroadcast". I want to say it even if I can't say it for sure. It is an exquisite image beauty that the quality itself says so silently. The show is depicted with such transcendent quality that it can be said in a word that it is a "video version and live performance version of PHOTO-FINISH". It is a program of about 45 minutes, and of the seven songs performed, all of them are "PHOTO-FINISH" numbers except "Do You Read Me" from "CALLING CARD". In fact, the official DVD "LIVE AT MONTREUX" and "THE COMPLETE ROCKPALAST COLLECTION" also include the 1979 performance, but there is nothing as thorough as "PHOTO-FINISH". Not only the purity, but also "Fuel To The Fire" and "Cruise On Out" are precious numbers that cannot be seen even on the official DVD. And the band that plays it is also wonderful. The members are, of course, the same trio as the album "PHOTO-FINISH". Rory and his ally Jerry McAvoy, and Ted McKenna (famous for MSG among hard rock fans). There was a sense of refreshment and openness with the member change for the first time in a long time on the album, but on stage it is even more doubled, and a simple but high-tension performance is performed. "Shin Kicker" roars with deadly hard rock, "Shadow Play" has a sharp minor melody. "Brute Force & Ignorance" has Jerry's bass line that is crisp, and "Fuel To The Fire" touches the heart. The official DVD above had a great performance, but this work is no less impressive. Historically, the golden four-person formation has collapsed, but the 1979 trio was also amazing... Among them, "Mississippi Sheiks" shows a deep love of blues. When Zydeco king Clifton Chenier died, Rory wrote "The King of Zydeco" to commemorate him, but this song is dedicated to the legendary pre-war southern group "MISSISSIPPI SHEIKS". In fact, the sound is completely different from the original, which was famous for its fiddle, but that's what's good about it. Rather than simply covering, he wrote new original songs and casually expressed that his music is in his blood by sticking to Rory's style. Whether it's Chenier or Sheiks, the selection is very deep, and the way he does it is smart. There are many rock guitarists who profess their love of blues, but Rory was definitely the real deal. It's also a live performance that makes you realize that. It's truly a "PHOTO-FINISH to see with your eyes." Although it's only 45 minutes, it's a masterpiece pro shot that allows you to immerse yourself in the sense of openness played by the new power trio. If you play rock, it's sharp and powerful, and if you play blues, it's deep and dripping. One piece where you can meet a fiery guitarist with superb quality.
