The best professional shots from the era of the masterpiece "AGAINST THE GRAIN" have been decided to be released. This work was shot on Rory's 28th birthday, "March 2, 1976, London". It is a multi-camera professional shot from the appearance on the traditional British program "OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST". The biggest point of this work is the intense quality. As you can see from Slash's memorial comment to Rory at the beginning, this work is not a broadcast from the 1970s, but a rebroadcast master from July 1995, about a month after Rory's death. The high image quality is due to the rebroadcast, but the quality of this work cannot be explained by that alone. No matter what rebroadcast it is, it should not have been digital broadcast in 1995. Despite this, it is a completely official-class super vivid image even in the current digital heyday. Not only the awesomeness of the station master, but how could they receive and record with such high image quality 22 years ago? The high quality is so high that a "?" swirls in your head. The quality depicted is the video version of the masterpiece "AGAINST THE GRAIN" and the live performance version. The shooting date was about half a year after the release of the album, and the set was almost "AGAINST THE GRAIN". Although "Bull Frog Blues" is played at the end, everything else is "AGAINST THE GRAIN". And the performance is also wonderful, unique to the heyday. The guitar full of groove screams, and the singing voice full of hot passion roars. Rory has been pushing forward with a trio formation for most of his career, but here he is in his second period with keyboards. The rock and blues colored by the lustrous organ are more colorful and rich than ever. Of course, the tacit understanding with his ally Jerry McAvoy is also at its peak. That lustrous passion is hotter and deeper in blues than in rock. Rory's harp permeates "All Around Man," and "Out On The Western Plain," a staple of acoustic sets, exudes a deep expression of blues. There are countless European whites who admire black blues, but most of them aimed for Chicago blues or modern blues after B.B. King. Among them, Rory is a real bluesman with a deep knowledge of the prewar Mississippi Sheiks before blues spread, and Clifton Chenier, the king of zydeco in the deep south. The blues he plays seems narrow but the essence of the deep black blues erupts from the screen. "BLUEPRINT," "TATTOO," "IRISH TOUR '74," and "AGAINST THE GRAIN." His performance was at its peak even in his second period, when he released a series of masterpieces. Deep, black, shiny blues that you wouldn't think he was white. And endlessly hot rock. A masterpiece that depicts Rory in his prime, as rich and lustrous as black candy. Why did they broadcast this footage when he passed away? This is a piece where those thoughts and meanings are transformed into music and quality. Live at Shepherd's Bush Theatre, London, UK 2nd March 1976 PRO-SHOT 1. Introduction incl.
