A soundboard compilation, which can be called part 2 of the masterpiece "LIVE IN EUROPE", has been decided to be released. This work contains four West German live performances from February 1972 to January 1973. This is a collection of masters carefully selected by overseas core enthusiasts. Let's take a closer look at each one. [May 22, 1972 Germersheim performance (6 songs)] First up are the six songs from the main Germersheim performance. "LIVE IN EUROPE" was recorded in "February-March 1972", so it is a West German show three months later. This show is also known for being broadcast on FM, and this work uses the 1st Gene Master. Although it is not "official grade" because it is a mono broadcast, the sound quality itself is really wonderful, and it is a beautiful soundboard with almost no dubbing deterioration. And the content is the best! Just after "LIVE IN EUROPE", a passionate performance that is close to that masterpiece is unfolded. Although the songs are quite similar, the two songs "Used To Be" and "Don't Know Where I'm Going" are delicious numbers that can't be heard even in "LIVE IN EUROPE". In "Don't Know Where I'm Going", in addition to vocals and acoustic guitar, he also shows off a light blues harp. The mandolin in the following "Going To My Hometown" is also great. [February 1972 "APROPOP 1972" (3 songs)] Next is a radio appearance known as "APROPOP 1972". It is a live performance where Rory sings alone with acoustic guitar at the studio "HR RADIO STUDIO" in Frankfurt. The exact recording date is not clear, but it is "February 1972" during the European tour recorded on "LIVE IN EUROPE". Deep blues drips with the superb sound of the 1st generation master (or rather, this work is all 1st generation). Although it is only three songs, Muddy Waters' "Gypsy Woman" and "The Cuckoo" which saw the light of day in "WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS" can not be heard even in "LIVE IN EUROPE". More than that, it is a wonderful live performance with a mood that even Rory's breathing resonates in the quiet station studio. [January 16, 1973 "APROPOP 1973" (3 songs)] When it comes to "APROPOP 1972", it is still "APROPOP 1973". The appearance take of the following year 1973, which is often heard as a set by enthusiasts, is also recorded on the 1st generation master. You can enjoy the exceptional highest peak sound in this work. At this time, "BLUEPRINT" had already been created, but it was not yet released. The contents are "Banker's Blues" and "Unmilitary Two-Step", which foreshadow "BLUEPRINT", and the familiar "Hoodoo Man". It seems that only one song in this work is out of date, but since it is a studio performance by Rory alone, it doesn't feel strange. It is a wonderful acoustic blues that can be enjoyed with the highest sound as a continuation of "APROPOP 1972". [March 5, 1972 Ludwigsburg (AUD: 3 songs)] Only the last fourth song was recorded by the audience. However, there is still meaning in the fact that it was recorded. In fact, this Ludwigsburg performance is a concert that was also adopted for "LIVE IN EUROPE". Moreover, the quality is outstanding. This has also been digitized from the 1st Gene Master, but even more than that, the recording itself is amazing. The core is strong and the venue reaction is very small. There is no sense of incongruity even when listening to vintage radio sound sources one after the other... or rather, it is such a superb recording that you might even think, "Was this actually broadcast on the radio?" It's a pity that there are only three songs, but "I'm Tore Down" is a really delicious song. It's a Freddie King cover that you can't hear on "LIVE IN EUROPE", and it's truly worthy of being called an outtake of a masterpiece. I hope that in the future they will release a deluxe edition with a mountain of unreleased takes... It's a wonderful live performance that even makes you crave it. That's all for 15 takes of four live performances. These are about 72 minutes of treasures that will expand the world of the masterpiece "LIVE IN EUROPE". A peeling Stratocaster roars and an acoustic guitar boils up deep, deep blues.
