Ron Carter, a living legend who has left a brilliant mark on the jazz world with his supreme bass playing and elegant sound, is teaming up with Russell Malone and Donald Vega to form the Golden Striker Trio, which was broadcast on FM radio in Neuburg, Germany, on a European tour. The Golden Striker Trio includes Russell Malone, a guitarist who is also known for accompanying Diana Krall, and Donald Vega, who has been the trio's regular pianist since 2012, replacing the late Mulgrew Miller. This live performance is filled with the exquisite swing of the trinity, thrilling interplay, and lively improvisational solos, as well as the true essence of trio jazz. This live recording captures a number of famous songs, including the standard "Love For Sale" by Cole Porter, Ron's original "Candle Light," and Fletcher Henderson's "Soft Winds."
