For Stones fans who lived in the 80s, "VIDEO REWIND" was a great gift for fans because it was filled with precious footage of the Stones' past. This software is a video work directed by Julien Temple, set as a dream that Bill Wyman had after falling asleep in the dressing room before the start of a concert, but this is a masterpiece that can be enjoyed even today as a history drama of the Stones compiled in a short time. In the dream, Bill becomes a museum guard and goes to a warehouse, where he arrives at a warehouse of a private rock and roll collection. There, Mick is stored as a "living exhibit". Moreover, he is set to be an exhibit wearing the costume from the 1973 European tour (laughs). Mick, whose body shape has not changed, is able to wear his costume from ten years ago as it is. From there, a play begins with Mick in the 73 costume and the guard Bill, and the PV from "UNDERCOVER" that is played first is full of the 80s and is really interesting! In the history of the Stones' music videos, this was the only time that Keith and Charlie performed to this extent. It was a clear MTV era. When "SOME GIRLS" was released, Keith gave an interview in which the other members of the Stones, and even Ian McLagan, were present instead of Mick, which was a rare pattern. After that, at Mick's request, Bill tried to watch the guitar pitching scene at Hampton 81, and the scene where he searched for it on a computer and showed it to us was like a pioneer of the times. After this, we were able to see all the Stones' music videos from that time, which was also very appreciated, but I was really surprised to see the scene from the movie "COCKSUCKER BLUES" in between. Is this the movie we've been talking about? I'm sure there must have been many people who couldn't help but stare at the scene where Keith drops the TV. The live scene of "Brown Sugar" is not only from there, but also includes scenes from 76 Paris and even Ladygen, which I never dreamed would be released on DVD at the time, which was also fascinating. However, in the same live scene, "Start Me Up" did not have much of a sense of the Hampton footage at the time, but the surprise that the footage inserted there was the Leeds 82 footage released in the archive last year is now understandable. Certainly, history documents such as "25x5" and "CROSSFIRE HURRICANE" are great, but the light groove of this "VIDEO REWIND" is also really fun. This is even more so now that Bill has left the Stones. This time, this famous footage was recorded from laser software. Most of the titles already released in the past were made from video masters, so if you compare them, the difference in image quality is obvious. Please enjoy the famous Stones 80's footage in the best image quality, which probably will not be released on DVD or Blu-ray! Taken from the original Japanese Laser Disc (G38M5446) 1.
