Nowadays, smartphone photography from the audience at concerts has become widespread all over the world, and even artists are allowed to do so. Thanks to this, it is common for videos capturing the day's performance to appear immediately after the end of the concert. Not only that, but with the improvement of smartphone functions, it is now common to see close-ups that look like professional shots. Furthermore, it has become common for fans to create live footage edited into a multi-angle state by making full use of multiple videos that have appeared on YouTube. Every time the Stones perform a live show, videos of each show are uploaded at an astonishing speed, and thanks to this, "THE VIDEO" has been created for each day's live show. The Rolling Stones' 2018 "NO FILTER" tour, which recently ended successfully, has also produced a large number of videos from amazing angles taken by the audience from each show. Among them, the "THE VIDEO" DVD for the Stuttgart performance on June 30th became a hot topic for its overwhelming content. In contrast to the distant footage of the CD & DVD set of "STUTTGART 2018" released the previous week, the shocking close-up footage is more captivating the more you look at it. The only flaw in this video is that all the intervals between songs have been cut out, probably to save the smartphone's power and capacity, but the angle is superb. However, there are many smartphone videos on YouTube with superb angles from this tour. The result of this is the aforementioned "THE VIDEO" gift DVD-R series, and "WARSAW 2018", which was released in the same form as a CD-R & DVD-R set. There are probably many enthusiasts who have already enjoyed the visual aspects of this 2018 "NO FILTER" tour through these gifts and items. As I said before, it is now common sense to take close-up footage from the audience seats. Anyone can easily capture the best angle. This is especially true when it comes to one-camera audience shots. In this case, the deciding factor is the photographer's "sense". There are many smartphone videos on YouTube, but in most cases, they just keep taking pictures of Mick running around the stage and only take pictures of Keith for two songs. Simply put, it is about "taking pictures of the person singing". The downside is that the angle tends to become monotonous, which is a dilemma. No matter how close up the footage is, it's hard to keep watching only Mick singing. In this respect, Studgart stands out from other ordinary 2018 "NO FILTER" tour videos. Instead of just vaguely shooting the singer, they capture Ronnie playing a solid solo when the song interlude. This means that the photographer's outstanding sense is demonstrated from the interlude of "Tumbling Dice" at the beginning of the show. This outstanding sense of smartphone video is fully utilized in "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Not only Mick's gesture of sending Ronnie to the runway for the interlude, but also Ronnie's playing when he starts playing a solo at his urging is approached with the ultimate close-up that makes you want to call it "TV broadcast itself"! The photographer's outstanding sense is also utilized in the member introduction. Not only the Stones but also all the support members are captured up close (the contrast between Sasha's cute smile and Carl's cool appearance is impressive), so I can only admire it. Of course, even during the performance, if Carl Densen or Tim Rees play a solo, they are captured properly. Isn't this amazing? There are so many videos that don't follow the support solos and just vaguely show Mick and other Stones members during the interlude. It's a pity that Mick and Keith didn't get involved in "Midnight Rambler" only on this day. Of course, the cameraman had anticipated that and captured Mick and Keith at a good angle, so it's all the more regrettable. It's rare to see a one-camera smartphone video that is so boring. The only drawback of such a superb audience shot is the cut that occurs between the first songs mentioned. This alone would have been fine, but when it came to Keith's "Before They Make Me Run," the cut had even reached the intro, and the smartphone had dropped during the interlude, causing the recording to stop. Fortunately, a video of the same song by another person had also appeared on YouTube, and by patching in that footage, the complete recording was achieved. And as a bonus, this time we also included news footage from the day that was broadcast on the German station of entertainment news ES-tv. It's a valuable piece that allows you to watch the first two songs of the live performance in fragments, but with pro shots and soundboard recordings. However, surprisingly, even after watching that, you'll still be overwhelmed by the powerful footage of the smartphone video in the main story.
