The 2014 Madrid performance was released by our store as "MADIRD 2014" half a year ago, but thanks to you, it was sold out in no time. This time it is recorded with a different master based on the newly appeared audience recording of the same Madrid performance. The trends in the sound images are similar between last time and this time, and the common feature is that the sound images are distant from the performance. With such a sound image, they also have in common that they realistically capture the realism of lively Madrid. However, the thickness of the sound and the direct feeling are outstanding, and the texture is different from the previous sound source. If the edgy and rough texture of the guitars is a characteristic of the previous sound source, this time the power of the entire performance is transmitted more. Furthermore, at the opening, the performance sounds with a weak balance of punch that reflects the sound output of the venue, but it quickly evolves into a thicker sound, which is the biggest attraction of this day's live performance. You can enjoy it carefully. In addition, there is no glimpse of instability like the sound wavering that was in the previous sound source, so many people may prefer the sense of stability this time. Now that all of last year's tour has finished, listening to this day's performance again, the sense of speed can be said to be exceptional. Although troubles such as Keith's poor health, Mick's girlfriend's suicide, and the death of Bobby Keys occurred during the tour, the Stones were able to complete the 2014 tour even by changing the schedule. The most exciting time was the summer European tour, and among them, the rushing performance of this day can be called a masterpiece. Certainly, starting with the second half of “Midnight Rambler”, there were not mistakes and disturbances in the performance that were common in Stones live performances. However, I can't help but think that the performance that overcame everything with a force that seemed to overturn it symbolized the Stones of 2014 in a sense. One of the factors that led to such a lively live show was the excitement that was unique to the Madrid crowd. The big appeal of this sound source is not only the sense of stability and depth of the sound, but also the exquisite balance that captures the excitement that arises from the sea of people that filled the stadium that day. The best scene among them was "Angie" in the acoustic part. As soon as the performance began, there was a huge chorus that can only be heard in Madrid. I'm sure many of you saw the scene on the DVD-R that came with the previous release when Mick, moved by the experience, stepped away from the microphone, walked onto the stage, and asked the audience to sing, and the excitement was so great. I can assure you that the way that moved Mick's heart is impressive enough even if you listen to the audio alone. Similar loud choruses also occurred after the live show ended on this day, but the real pleasure of audience recording is that the excitement was captured in such a nice balance, and the sound of this live show was even better than the previous sound source. It is also a charm that conveys the wonderfulness. However, the original sound source contains noise in some places that resembles noise from digital connections, which is common with modern recording equipment. It was a distorted sound that came in during the guitar solo of "It's Only Rock'n Roll" and even just as Bobby Keys' saxophone solo began in "Miss You", so I pinpointed it in the previous article. The noise itself is cut by compensating for the sound source. As I mentioned earlier, the original recording conditions are similar, so the edits not only don't feel out of place, but are so smooth that you wouldn't notice it even if you listened to them. We have made it possible to record the entire story at a stable quality, such as by deleting the following. There are also some minor cuts caused by the master in the guitar solo in the first half of "Midnight Rambler", and there are some mistakes that are rare in digital recording these days, but the sound is great anyway, so please check it out. Please listen to it. Mick Taylor and Charlie’s rampage in the first half of “Midnight Rambler” is also a dynamic scene, and when you listen to this sound quality, you will be overwhelmed by the power of the profound performance of “Out Of Control”. And the reprise ending of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” is proof of the good performance. It has been decided to release a different master that conveys a new charm from the Madrid performance, which has been well-received for its performance since the last release.
