A long-awaited video release from our shop, which is good at the "VOODOO LOUNGE" tour! This time, the professional shot video of the Johannesburg performance in South Africa on February 25, 1995, which took place just before the performance in Japan, is here for the first time in a long time. It can be said that this is a nostalgic live video that was widely distributed as a professional shot video just before the performance in Japan in 1995. However, the roughness of the image quality and mono sound quality, which can be said to be South American quality at the time, were somewhat harsh even at the level of the time, and it may have been positioned as a video that was overlooked by fans today. Moreover, there is a tremendous professional shot of the Japanese performance and its video after this, so this Johannesburg video has been neglected even more. It is no exaggeration to say that when it entered the 21st century, the era of DVD, the items were no longer released, and it fell to the position of a minor live video that is not even talked about among enthusiasts. It was "SOUTH AFRICAN LOUNGE" released by our shop ten years ago that threw a stone into such a situation. The upper condition, which is incomparable to the video era, was well received among enthusiasts. Who would have thought that Johannesburg 95 would be this easy to watch... But coupled with the low awareness of fans of the "VOODOO LOUNGE" tour at the time, the upgraded version never went beyond the DVDR treatment. However, while all of the "VOODOO LOUNGE" tour items released by our shop in the past few years have been well received, the release of the Johannesburg video has finally been realized! Of course, it is true that the state is still rough compared to the current level of professional shot footage of the Stones live, or the footage of the subsequent Japanese performances. However, for this release, the video was remastered again. This of course makes it possible to watch the originally easy-to-watch video even more stress-free, but above all, the picture quality boasts a completely different dimension of clarity from the poor video footage that was available in 1995, which is sure to entertain you. On the other hand, the audio is mono this time as well, but don't forget that there is actually a great charm hidden in the audio that even feels old-fashioned. That is the "balance of Keith's guitar sound". The sound quality of the 1999 Anaheim released by our shop recently was good, but Keith's sound was too low. On the other hand, the sound of this video has a powerful presence of Keith's guitar, and I guarantee that you will enjoy it especially from "It's All Over Now" to "Satisfaction". Moreover, the big attraction of "Satisfaction" on this tour was that he used a Les Paul, but here you can enjoy the powerful Les Paul sound to your heart's content! What's more, the straight camera work that was not too elaborate on this day adds to the power. In the intro of "Satisfaction", Keith's eyes meet at an exquisite timing, and you can see the best moment when he starts playing that riff with a literally demonic expression. After that, we even captured Keith playing a solo with a full spirit on the Les Paul, so please enjoy the video to your heart's content, which combines a gorilla sound and angles that are different from the video of the Japanese performance that was completed as a video work! Other highlights include Lisa Fischer's pheromone-filled performance of "Miss You," which sounds like a completely different person from now (sorry), and Mick's mistimed return to the song after the interlude in "Street Fighting Man," which is a tense atmosphere from the beginning of the performance. However, this mishap is cute compared to the Giants Stadium performance we released previously (lol). And since this release only recorded the final part of the performance, we have made it possible to select "Rock and a Hard Place," which was not included in the menu and credits of the previous release. Why not take your time to enjoy this charming 1995 live video for the first time in a while? Live at Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa 25th February 1995 PRO-SHOT(UPGRADE) (130:48) 1.
