The Rolling Stones' 1978 tour's best analog recording is still the radio broadcast compilation "LACERATED," but the label that released this historic masterpiece has now planned a compilation of the tour with audience recordings, "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED." It was compiled with the editing concept of recreating one stage of the tour from multiple performances, and it was a perfect pairing with "LACERATED," including "Far Away Eyes," which was not heard on "LACERATED," and "Satisfaction," which was a rare performance on the tour. Also, while "LACERATED" had a black and white jacket, "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED" had a full-color jacket on both sides, which also made it a pair. However, due to the concept of an audience recording compilation, it did not receive as high a reputation as "LACERATED," but the audience recordings scattered throughout it all had good sound quality, and it was a title that was well loved by enthusiasts. Nearly 30 years after its release, the VGP label, which was in a leading position with Stones releases at the time, released the CD version of "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED". The concept of a complete upgrade of each performance that was used on the LP, except for Oakland, which had already been released separately (Chicago had also been released but a different sound source was used), was appropriate for the CD era, and in fact, thanks to this luxurious set, it seemed as if the original "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED" LP had completed its role. However, there was a big twist in the fact that the original LP sounded better for the main features, Buffalo on July 4th and St. Louis on the 11th. First of all, the audience recording used for Buffalo is different, and the LP version has clearly better sound quality. It is overwhelmingly clearer than the VGP version sound source. Rather, for maniacs, they were happy that the sound of the LP had finally been made into a CD, but they were disappointed when a different rough audience recording was used. Furthermore, although the same sound source was used for St. Louis, it was clearly a version that had been used out of date, which was also disappointing for enthusiasts. The LP version is overwhelmingly fresher. Furthermore, Chicago's "Sweet Little Sixteen" uses a sound source that cannot be heard anywhere else, so the value of the LP version has not yet decreased. The LP version is particularly popular among overseas enthusiasts, and in fact there were voices saying, "I wonder if 'SATISFACTION GUARANTEED' can be reissued on CD like the analog reissue titles that have been released so far." Therefore, this time, "GRAF ZEPPELIN", who has been working hard to reissue the Rolling Stones' famous LPs including "NASTY MUSIC", was once again in charge of the transfer. In fact, the pitch of the "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED" LP was high overall, and the degree of height varied from performance to performance, so there was a stress in playback that the pitch had to be adjusted every time the source was switched. That's why, even though it was compiled with a good quality audience recording, it didn't get the same recognition as "LACERATED". "GRAF ZEPPELIN" perfectly adjusted this problem and also realized a CD in a clean state without scratch noise. It has been reborn in a state that is no longer comparable to the original LP. In particular, Buffalo captures the roughness of the Stones in 1978 everywhere, and with clear sound quality, and the sound that maniacs wanted to hear has finally been made into a CD. The nostalgic masterpiece of the 1978 tour has finally been revived in its original form! Remastering Memo '78 North American tour 2LP compilation directly digitized and remastered! The Aud sound source from each performance is picked up while following the set list of the live at that time, so you can enjoy it all at once without getting bored, and it's a great item to listen to casually. The July 4th part is a different sound source from VGP, but the main board is less harsh and pleasant to the ears, and there are fewer cheers. The July 11th part is surprisingly fresher on this LP than on the VGP tape of the same sound source, so it's not to be underestimated! The overall speed has been adjusted to make it faster.
