The 1969 MSG performance with new member Mick Taylor was multi-tracked by engineer Glyn Johns and released the following year in 1970 as "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out," the last original album from the British Decca era. It will be released. The source for this CD is one that was released on a certain video site at the end of 2019 as a countermeasure against copyright restrictions with a 50-year deadline. Strangely enough, these sound sources were deleted within 24 hours after they were released, and now they have become, so to speak, phantom sound sources. The original that was released had a highly compressed sound quality typical of video site sound sources, and was in a slightly unbalanced condition with especially crushed high frequencies. In order to improve the flaws in the sound quality of the original, this CD carefully filters the highly compressed frequency range without cutting off the high range of the sound source, and does not perform any equalization that would upset the balance of the original bass. Is not ... The entire sound image is completed with minimal parametric EQ operations. The performance is also wonderful, full of powerful grooves that can be said to be the culmination of a tour that lasted almost a month. The original sound source is a mono mix sound source for audition created to determine the recording takes of the album, and the cut parts that exist in several places are neatly supplemented from the three sources of "BROADWAY". DISC-1 is a recording from the single performance on the night of November 27th. The first song from this performance, "JUMPIN' JACK FLASH", was included in the official release, but Mick's vocals were completely retaken in the studio, and Keith's harmonious chorus of the chorus, which was not sung at the actual live performance, was also included. You can see it added. Since this work is a sound board sound source, it will be fun for enthusiasts to compare it with the source recorded on DISC-1 of "BROADWAY", which has been known as the high-quality audience sound source of the same performance. Surprisingly, the difference in balance between this conventional audience source and this soundboard source is extremely small, and you will be reminded of how the conventional sound source was recorded in a wonderful environment. DISC-2 is recorded from the second show on the 28th, and it has been confirmed that two songs from this performance, “MIDNIGHT RAMBLER” and “LIVE WITH ME”, will be included in the regular edition. “MIDNIGHT RAMBLER” uses the original live vocals, but in “LIVE WITH ME”, the retake version in the studio was officially released. In 2009's "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out! (40th Anniversary Edition)," which commemorated the 40th anniversary of the album's release, two additional tracks were released from the performance on the 27th and two from the second show performance on the 28th. However, basically, the tracks other than those released for both performances have not been released so far, and the complete version of the show that has not undergone any processing such as overdubs can only be heard with the original sound source. In the official release, the intro that overlapped the opening of tour promoter SAM CUTLER's three MSG performances was a very unique idea, but here you can hear the original intro of each performance without overlapping. is also a big advantage. Especially on the 27th day of the first day, Glyn Johns started the tape early, so the intro part, which is longer than other performances, is recorded at 2 minutes and 28 seconds. Please add this work, which can be said to be a stripped version of the famous live "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" without any overdubs such as replacing Mick's vocals, to your collection.
