Following the highly acclaimed release of "LARGO 1975 1ST NIGHT," this week sees the release of the second day of the Rolling Stones' 1975 Largo. Like the previous release, this is also a mono audience recording that had only been released once before, but for many enthusiasts, this release will be their first exposure. Some enthusiasts may have given up on previous releases due to the poor quality of the previous releases. As mentioned above, previous releases had a major drawback: the slow pitch. What made this even more difficult to listen to was the distortion caused by over-mastering. Not only was the band's sound distorted, but even songs like "Star Star," which begin with just Keith's guitar, sounded distorted. Therefore, even among enthusiasts who own previous items, few have fully listened to the two days of Largo in 1975. Furthermore, the first appearance of the second day was actually not an audience recording but a fragment of a PA-out soundboard, which may remind many enthusiasts of the VGP label's 1975-1976 compilation "WE HOPE YA LIKE DIS ONE." Only two tracks were leaked, but this is the only SBD of the day. Therefore, the only recording that conveys the entire live performance is the audience recording from the same day, but the recording for the second day is incomplete, ending with "Angie." However, when the two-day recording of Lago was released at the time, it was literally edited to fill in the subsequent parts with the previous day's recording. This caused problems with previous items, such as the previous day's parts being recorded as they were. However, this time too, thorough restoration by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" makes it suddenly easier to listen to! Not only is it recorded with "accurate pitch," but there is also absolutely no distortion due to unnecessary input overload. In fact, it has finally become possible to hear it as "music." Needless to say, the recording was done without any unnecessary editing of the second half of the live performance, but instead, the two soundboard tracks in question were remastered by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" and included. Originally, there were some distortions and the sound quality was quite rough. While the distortion is beyond repair, the roughness has been dramatically improved, making the recording much easier to listen to. In fact, I even discovered through this work that the few seconds before "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" were actually the interlude between "Happy." Like the previous day's recording, the sound image is mono and somewhat distant, but the sheer chaos of this day is reminiscent of '75. Mick had some trouble with his throat the previous day, and he seemed to be struggling with that for the first two songs, but he made a miraculous comeback. From there, Mick's wild singing, typical of '75, exploded. Then, during "Gimme Shelter," the band's sound output became distorted, even casting a shadow over the performance. From there, Mick and his bandmates made a powerful comeback, a truly '75-esque performance. His passionate singing on the final track, "Angie," is also superb, and the performance between MSG and the LA Forum couldn't be any worse. For the reasons mentioned above, the second day of Largo has often been overlooked—in fact, it's no exaggeration to say that it's been avoided by enthusiasts—but thanks to a meticulous restoration by GRAF ZEPPELIN, it's finally ready for a deep listening experience. This rarely released '75 Largo 2-Day set features the second day recorded in mono audio! Like the first day, there's no distortion due to pitch and phase misalignment or over-leveling, and the overall frequency range has been carefully adjusted with an emphasis on balance. It's a shame that this release only includes up to Angie, but it has now been discovered that the previously released recordings contained duplicated audio from the first day onward, from "Wild Horses" onward. Bonus tracks include two SB recordings from the same day! The previously released audio has been remastered, corrected for phase misalignment, hiss, and hum, and rearranged to match the performance order of the day. By the way, this SB audio, the approximately 8-second interlude before "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" is actually the interlude before "Happy," as confirmed by this AUD recording. This confirms that both the main AUD and SB recordings on this album are definitely performances from the second day of Largo. This is the definitive version of the second day of '75 Largo!
