The 1990 Urban Jungle Tour was rescheduled due to Keith injuring his finger on July 10th, which was an off day, and the second half of the tour was originally scheduled to take place on July 13th and 14th at Wembley Stadium. was postponed, and as a result, it was rescheduled to be the last two performances of the tour. This marked the culmination of the revival of the Rolling Stones' live activities, which had taken almost a year since the Steel Wheels tour in Philadelphia (see "PHILADELPHIA 1989 FIRST NIGHT") on August 31st of the previous year. Thanks to these two performances, filming for the later movie "AT THE MAX" was also done, but only four songs were taken from the performance on August 25th, the final day of the tour. It was an unsatisfying glimpse of the final beauty of a year of Stones revival. The title of the song was “A LAST BOW” which was supposed to make this maniac drink less. As the name suggests, it is a very luxurious package that is suitable for recording the last day of the tour, and the wooden box includes tour data, a little liner notes, and even a guitar pick and a small Jack Daniel's. Even at the time of its release, it was a rare item, with only a small number of copies in circulation, and it was expensive to hit the market. However, the CD containing the important final day at Wembley Stadium was an audience recording that seemed to have been recorded from the stands, with a distant sound image, the sound was biased to one side, and a poor sound source with some distortion at the end was recorded. That's what it means. I was disappointed in the sound quality, which was completely out of proportion to the extremely luxurious binding and high price. Still, regarding the final day of Wembley Stadium, only “A LAST BOW” existed for a long time, and even if you could get it, the situation continued that it would be stressful to listen to it as music. It is strange that the only sound source of a relatively modern performance in 1990 by a group like the Stones existed. However, in May of this year, a new audience recording of the final day of Wembley Stadium appeared on the internet and surprised maniacs around the world. This is a new sound source, but to put it simply, it is an audience recording with higher sound quality than “A LAST BOW”. It is a real flaw that the sound image fluctuates periodically throughout, and the instability of the sound image is noticeable in the first two songs, but it stabilizes at once from "Harlem Shuffle". After that, the sound quality gradually improved, and from "Midnight Rambler" onwards, the details of the performance were surprisingly clear. A level that can no longer be compared to the distant sound image of "A LAST BOW". Upon release, we equalized and improved the muddy bass that often occurs in stadium audience recordings. Also, in "A LAST BOW", the sound was so far away that it was difficult to gauge the quality of the performance, but when I listened to the sound source this time, I was able to hear a performance with a lot of spirit as if it was the last day of the tour. It makes me realize again. Among them, "Miss You" has the band's tight playing and Mick's enthusiastic singing that you can understand at first listen, and Keith's "Before They Make Me Run" is so tight that it makes you laugh. Isn't this performance (or rather, running) the last day of the tour? Furthermore, as the show progressed and there was no next performance, Mick's full-throttle singing without knowing how to hold back (without covering his throat) was a highlight. The finale's "Satisfaction" or "Sympathy For The Devil" are the best examples, and the following "Street Fighting Man" is funny because Keith's intro starts a little dangerously. Moreover, this song was a representative repertoire of urban jungle, and when you listen to it in an audience recording, the arrangement that makes use of the rhythm of the original studio version sounds quite fresh. After Mick introduces each member including the support, each musician (especially Matt Clifford) plays the keyboard, which seems like the final day, and it's interesting! There, when Bill Wyman is introduced, each person is even more excited and excited, but strangely this day is also his last stage with the Stones. The tour final, which is such a historic day, will finally be released to the satisfaction of enthusiasts with this new sound source. Of course, as with "WEMBLEY STADIUM 1990 1ST NIGHT", the exhilarating chorus unique to Wembley Stadium in "Ruby Tuesday" and the last two songs of the live performance is still alive (it feels good to listen to it)!
