The French Stones sound collector who provided the amazing in-ear monitor recording "PARIS OLYMPIA 2003 IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING" has provided us with the first appearance audience master of the 1976 Nice performance in France. Speaking of the Nice performance, the VGP label released it as a single CD called "LIVE IN NICE 1976" in the old days, and later it was released as "TUMBLING NICE" by the nostalgic Risk Disk, but they were incomplete with some songs missing, and finally the full-length version was released on DAC's "BLACK AND BLUE IN NICE" to the present. If those audience recordings are "Aud 1", this time it is "Aud 2" with a different taper, a first appearance and newly excavated sound source. In terms of the closeness of the sound image, the previously released "Aud 1" wins, but as enthusiasts who have listened to those items know, "Aud 1" was basically rough sound quality, and above all, the sound was undulating from beginning to end, which made it unsettling to listen to. And after the end of the live performance, "Jumping Jack Flash," the bass became saturated and it became even harder to hear, so it was a quality that made me think that it was no mistake to release the VGP version as a single piece. As for the new sound source "Aud 2," the excitement near the taper is lively from beginning to end, mainly women. Of course, there are many unpleasant scenes, but on the other hand, the exchange of "hey! hey! you! you!" in "If You Can't Rock Me / Get Off of My Cloud" has a very happy atmosphere, which is quite fun. Or, in "Midnight Rambler," he sings "well, you heard about the Boston..." along with Mick, which suggests that a lot of Stones fans must have flocked to Nice, and the enjoyment of an audience recording can be felt everywhere. It is certainly a noisy situation overall, but the fact that there is no sound swell like in "Aud 1" is a very big point. On the other hand, in this sound source, the tape sound shakes in "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Street Fighting Man," but it can still be heard compared to the sound swell and bass saturation. It is also nice that this sound shake does not get worse. In addition, the overall sound quality is more subdued than "Aud 1"... which is another benefit of this new sound source. Of course, the performance can't be bad on the 1976 European tour. Especially after the famous Paris consecutive performances. The way Mick attacks with high tension from the beginning of the live is exactly like the 1976 tour, and the performance is brilliant, combining the intensity and momentum unique to June. It is natural that the audience gets excited in front of such a fulfilling performance, and the happy realism of this recording is even more convincing. Similarly, there was a performance in The Hague, Netherlands, which has long been familiar to enthusiasts as a European excitement Aud in 1976, but the excitement of "Fool To Cry" and "Star Star" at that time was surprisingly bland (lol), and even though it was the same tour, the different realism was surprisingly enjoyable, as if the goods changed depending on the place. A long-awaited maniac recording from the 1976 tour, which is highly popular among enthusiasts, was provided by a French collector. Although it showed a considerable excitement, it was a fever after listening to the Stones' performance. And yet, even after the live performance ended, it was recorded for longer than "Aud 1". This is a valuable audience album that literally has another look with a completely different sound quality and realism from the conventional Nice sound source... this is interesting! The freshness of the first appearance sound is good, and you can experience the excitement of the venue in real life, making this a fun album.
