"SAN DIEGO 1998" is the longest and highest sound quality recorded from the radio show disc of the 1998 "STWOOD ONE" Super Star Concert Series. This performance was officially broadcast multiple times even after the concert ended, and each time a uniquely edited "STWOOD ONE" radio show disc was created. This work includes a radio show disc for broadcasting on August 29th and 30th, 1998, about half a year after the actual live performance, and a radio show disc for broadcasting on July 15th and 16th, 2000, about two years later. They are included on disks 1 and 2 respectively. Both versions are 90 minute programs, but we cut out the commercials and extracted only the performance parts. Each take here has been edited, and the song selection has been made with a unique selection centered on the first half. Both versions were recorded with the same sound quality as the original broadcast without equalization, but surprisingly, both versions have a considerably different sound compared to the press version (original broadcast). The 1998 version has more flashy equalization, and the 2000 broadcast is closer to the press, but it's still different. The last track of each disc contains a promotional spot for the main set (approximately 1 minute for the 1998 edition, 1 minute 22 seconds for the 2000 edition) for promotional use, but the numbers included on each disc are also included. The editing is completely different, so it is a perfect take to fully enjoy this radio show version of the San Diego performance. What is interesting is that in the August 1998 broadcast version, Keith's guitar is correctly output from the right, but in the 2000 version, the left and right are reversed and returned to the original sound source, just like the original sound source of this press version. . Probably, there were complaints about the localization of the sound during and after the original broadcast, and a re-equalized and remixed version was used in August 1998, but when it was rebroadcast in 2000, the sound image was the same as the original.
