Opening speech "The stage was less than 10 meters away. I managed to get a seat in the third row from the front. From here, I felt like I could be bathed in the sweat of Mick. However, although everyone was sitting comfortably at first, gradually people from behind started to crowd forward. Everyone was desperate to get as close as possible to the front. Finally, everyone stood in front of the stage, but I couldn't move because of the pressure from behind. A wall of people had formed all around me, and the fresh air only passed over my head. It was painful, no matter how deep I took a breath, it was hard to breathe. I felt like I was going to die. There was nothing I could do. I had to give up on Mick's sweat. I swallowed my tears and decided to go back to the stands at the back. If the Stones started playing like this, who knows what would happen. By the time the opening act, Prince and George Thoroughgood & The Destroyers, finished their performance, I was feeling much better. From these stands, although the stage was a little far away, I could see the whole show. I could see close-ups of the band members on eight video screens hanging from the ceiling of the dome. I waited for several tens of minutes. An announcement came on saying, "Welcome to "The Rolling Stones!" The live take of the first performance in Los Angeles on October 9, 1981 (the 8th performance of the US tour), which was broadcast on the radio music program "Suntory Sound Market" on April 15th and 16th, 1982, is recorded in full, including DJ narration and commercials. The live performance is mainly recorded for about 2 hours, with interviews with Mick and Ron in between, but this live performance was not recorded live for radio, but an audience recording, and the sound quality is average plus (there is quite a bit of screaming from the audience). I think it was a good and generous time when such unofficial recordings could be broadcast for 2 hours on a major music program. Many songs were not broadcast, and some of the song orders have been changed, but the atmosphere of the entire concert is fully conveyed. However, as noted on the specialist website, the songs selected were When The Whip Comes Down, where the guitar stopped working midway through the song, Let's Spend The Night Together, where the audience's singing is fully incorporated at around 1:43, and Neighbours, for which the ending was not yet decided, but it is questionable why Time Is On My Side, which was one of the highlights of the tour, and Street Fighting Man, which had a high-tension performance, were left out. The encore song Satisfaction, which was performed on a daily basis, was taken from the same venue the following day. (The full-length version of this sound source can be heard on "LIVE AT LA MEMORIAL COLISEUM '81" (2CD).) So, rather than enjoying the live performance, this is a CD to confirm that "this is how this live take was broadcast at the time." The tape was directly used, which had been carefully stored by a enthusiast, and the sound quality is perfect and there is almost no deterioration. (Some cuts are due to the original tape.) For fans who enjoyed this broadcast in real life at the time (34 years ago!), everything will be fondly remembered, from the female Japanese DJ's narration to the commercials. The commercial for the movie "Lady Chatterley's Lover" ("Oh, how scandalous") included in the 26 tracks on disc 2 is very impactful, and the commercial for the National Action MacLood (handy video camera) with its powerful words "The day has finally come when you can run around with a video in your hand. Let's run! Action!" will make anyone who hears it say, "It's heavy!" and "It's expensive!" It's an emotional and nostalgic two hours that will take you back to those days when everything was full of excitement. This is the best two-disc set that any fan of Western music can enjoy.
