Last year, the JEMS team finally unearthed the master tapes recorded by Mike Millard of the Rolling Stones' 1975 LA Forum series. Among the series of recordings released last year, the first night of "L.A. FORUM 1975 1ST NIGHT: MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES" was the one that quickly sold out due to overwhelming popularity. While this was the same day as the final night of the LA Forum, and many other items have been released, the master tapes offer a truly impressive, upbeat feel. It's no surprise that the definitive release of the first night of the LA Forum, one of the most famous audiences where Millard's masterful skills shined, sold out so quickly. However, as a must-listen for all music fans, a steady supply of Millard recordings, representing his peak performance, is inevitable. Even without this, many have expressed a desire for a reissue. This rare audience recording combines Millard's exceptional recording techniques with the allure of the Stones' hyper-charged performance in '75. While the reissue of "L.A. FORUM 1975 1ST NIGHT: MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES" alone would be sufficient, Graf Zeppelin stepped up to the plate and completely reworked the mirrored master tapes released last year. First, the DAT error noise at the beginning of "All Down The Line" and at the end of "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which was a blemish on last year's release, has been corrected using previously released, undamaged copies. While the former was corrected by copying and pasting from a different part of the performance on "L.A. FORUM 1975 1ST NIGHT," this time it has been corrected exactly as the actual performance was. However, this is only one of the many adjustments Graf Zeppelin made for this release. The biggest flaw in this recording is a cut that occurred during the cassette change midway through "You Can't Always Get What You Want." On the previous release, this section was left intact out of respect for the mirrored master, but this time, it's been completely re-recorded for the first time by filling in the gaps from the nostalgic vinyl reissue "SMOKING STONES," released over a decade ago. Listening to this mirrored version back-to-back, it's clear to see that "SMOKING STONES" also boasted impressive sound quality. But that's not all, thanks to GRAF ZEPPELIN's supervision. Among the other cassette cuts, the one after "Angie" was a major concern. Taking advantage of the absence of a live performance, previously released Screamer and DAC discs have reportedly filled in the gaps by transplanting cheers from different locations. However, the third recording from that day, "L.A. FORUM 1975 1ST NIGHT," is the perfect fit. Moreover, this gap wasn't just a cheer, but Mick's roar, making a huge difference in the actual scene. Furthermore, thanks to the discovery of this recording, the gap between "Jumping Jack Flash" and the encore has been filled in, making this a truly complete recording! The best part is that even the low-frequency noise characteristic of Millerd, which was noticeable on previous releases and JEMS releases, has been removed, improving the listening experience. This release goes beyond simply re-issuing a classic recording; it utilizes the now-available material and the thorough editing techniques of "GRAF ZEPPELIN," faithfully recreating the beloved Millerd recording of the first day at the LA Forum in 1975 as a complete and faithful documentary of the day. This release goes beyond a simple reissue; it's the definitive July 9th release! Filled in, including inter-song recordings, the latest Millerd remaster eliminates all gaps and DAT errors from the previous release, while providing a complete, non-stop recording of the original recording with additional fill-in sources. The gaps immediately after Angie's performance and after "Jumpin'" are also filled in with additional fill-in sources, faithfully recreating the actual live performance! In particular, the part after Angie's performance was filled in with fake audio on the previously released DAC and Screamer discs, but this time it's been filled in with the correct audio for the first time, just like the actual live performance! Also, the low-frequency noise typical of mirrored recordings, which was noticeable on the previously released and JEMS releases, has been slightly removed, improving the sound quality!
