Looking back at the history of their live recording releases, the release format of the Rolling Stones' 1981 tour was a very unusual pattern and was released on a large scale. As a result, many sound sources and videos were produced, but it was not easy to get there. The live album "STILL LIFE" was released at an astonishing speed, released between the end of the 1981 tour and the start of the next European tour. It was released on June 1, 1982. Until then, the Stones' live albums were released as a souvenir after the end of the tour. However, this album was released in between the tours, which was a groundbreaking timing. However, perhaps as a price for releasing it early, I was surprised at the volume of only one LP. Thanks to the brilliant editing of the mix by Bob Clearmountain, it was certainly easy to listen to. However, considering the actual show that lasted two hours, it is also true that the content left enthusiasts with a lot of dissatisfaction. It may not have been to take into account the feelings of such enthusiasts, but on August 18th, more than two months after the release of the album, a live recording from the 1981 tour comparable to the volume of the actual show was broadcast in a rolling special on the American radio program "SUPERGROUPS IN CONCERT". The fact that this broadcast actually included the entire "STILL LIFE", even with some songs overdubbed, made it an expanded edit of the album, which would now be called a deluxe edition. In addition, between songs, interviews with Clear Mountain, who was in charge of mixing, Bill Graham, who managed the tour, and Ernie Watts, the saxophonist who was a support member of the tour, were inserted. Although the song order was different from the actual live performance, the content was much more substantial than "STILL LIFE", which was enough to satisfy enthusiasts, but on the other hand, an unexpected disadvantage occurred. That is, the pitch of the entire performance was raised during the broadcast. As a result, the bootlegs that were just waiting for the broadcast continued to be recorded with a high pitch. Nostalgic items such as "TIME IS ON OUR SIDE" and "RIDE LIKE THE WIND" were produced from this broadcast, but they also had a consistently high pitch. On the contrary, even the CD version that inherited these titles and contents had a high pitch. So this time, the original broadcast LP of "SUPERGROUPS IN CONCERT" was carefully made into a CD. When recording, the commercials were cut, but other than that, the interviews and DJ announcements were recorded in a natural state that respected the sound quality of the original LP. And yet, the clean state without any scratch noise is an important element that allows you to listen without stress. The most important point is that it has finally been released after being adjusted to the correct pitch. No matter how great the sound quality of the broadcast sound source is, you can't enjoy it if the pitch remains high. And the high documentary quality of the entire program of the 1981 tour sound source that was broadcast in real time was recorded. In the past, we have compiled a series of broadcast sound sources from the 1981 tour in "ANOTHER STILL LIFE", but there are surprisingly few items that recorded the programs from that time as they were. Please enjoy the real-time atmosphere of the 1982 broadcast program that comes from there, and the real sound of the LP that was vacuum-packed as it was, which was created by the Stones and Clear Mountain for radio at that time, with accurate pitch. This is the historical broadcast that became the source of many items! Taken from the original radio show records (3LPs) for broadcast on 28th August 1982 Disc 1 (48:56) 1. Introduction 2.
