A must-see ultra-high-definition video title has arrived from overseas, which contains a total of five hours of footage of the three days of rehearsals just before the unprecedented Wall Live held on July 21, 1990 at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, recorded on three discs. Disc 1 mainly introduces scenes from a different perspective to the band performance, such as the installation of equipment at the venue on July 18 and the choreography practice scenes of dancers and extras while playing Waiting For The Worms and Run Like Hell. The animation check projected on the huge wall in Trial is so impressive that even the cameraman doesn't know where to shoot. Disc 2 mainly contains band rehearsals. In the daytime scene on the 18th, there is an impressive scene of Roger singing with an acoustic guitar in front of an empty field in the bare set. You can also see Roger playing blues as a sound check, and performing Mother, which was sung by Sinead O'Connor during the actual performance. Goodbye Blue Sky checks the chorus group and acoustic guitar, but what's interesting is that you can see a substitute vocalist standing on stage with a piece of paper with "JONI MITCHELL" written on it. Empty Spaces is performed with a full electric band. The scene where Roger is in charge of vocals only with his hands in his pockets is also a must-see. The whole scene on the night of the 19th is a full rehearsal. The guest musicians who have already arrived are participating, but the stage production and progress are quite rough and slapstick overall, which makes it very interesting to watch. In The Flesh?, you can see the Scorpions get out of the limousine and play as if it were the real thing. Ute Lemper is on vocals in The Thin Ice. The scene where the teacher's monster appears in The Happiest Days Of Our Lives is impressive. Cyndi Lauper appears dressed as a punk-style schoolgirl in Another Brick In The Wall Part 2. The scene where they dance as if it were the real thing with the guitar solo in the back in the second half is professional and moving. You can see that they are having trouble changing the set to Mother. Sinead O'Connor has not yet joined in Mother. Joni Mitchell's wonderful vocals are heard in Goodbye Blue Sky, just like in the real thing. The slide scene on the wall in the urban modern art style Young Lust and One Of My Turns is very impressive. You can see some kind of trouble on stage in Comfortably Numb. The guitar solos by Rick DiFonzo and Snowy White in this song are the best. In The Flesh, with the Scorpions again, is a spectacular large-scale production. A pig monster appears in Run Like Hell, and you can also see the extras running down the rope here. In the daytime footage on July 20th, you can see a rare scene of Bryan Adams singing Young Lust after arriving and Roger dancing rhythmically to the song with his topless body during the guitar solo part. The last disc features a truly wonderful performance of Goodbye Blue Sky, featuring Joni Mitchell on flute again. Disc 3 contains a 1 hour and 50 minute "dress rehearsal" held on the night before the performance on July 20th. All the guest musicians gather together, and you can fully enjoy another "Berlin concert" with costumes and direction just like the real thing. At the actual performance on July 21st, they made a big mistake by not being able to hear Ute Lemper's vocals on Thin Ice and Sinead O'Connor's vocals on Mother. (The official video includes a retake of Thin Ice. However, Sinead refused to reshoot Mother, so an edited version was recorded from the dress concert the day before.) The EXTRA section of Disc 1 includes a collection of promo videos and other footage related to the Berlin live performance, but also includes a rare scene from the live TV broadcast of Thin Ice, where Lemper's vocals were not included and the performance was interrupted midway. In any case, this first-class video documentary, which vividly and precisely records the hundreds of staff members working together to create a huge, chaotic event, is definitely a must-see for all Floyd fans! Not only is it highly valuable, but the content is also very interesting, so it's a great video title that we would recommend to people other than Floyd fans as well. Limited stock from overseas!
