The Oceania leg of "US + THEM". The superb footage from the scene has been decided to be released. Starting with the news album "SYDNEY 2018" from Oceania for the first time in six years, this week also saw the release of live albums such as "MELBOURNE 2018 2ND NIGHT". This work is the video version that follows. This work was filmed on "February 2 + 3, 2018: Sydney performance". It is a two-day consecutive concert at the indoor stadium QUDOS BANK ARENA, but this work does not record two performances. It is an audience work that combines the superb materials born from two concerts and puts together as a video of one performance. The biggest point is the scene in Oceania and the video experience collection of "US + THEM" with minor changes ... I thought. But that was not the case! The truly amazing is the intense quality. In fact, it is divided into three major parts, but all of them are transcendent and the best video. [First half of the show (February 3rd footage)] As mentioned above, this work uses footage from two days, and the first half is footage from the second day in Sydney (February 3rd). This is just amazing. In terms of specs, it is "almost a fixed audience shot from the front of the stage", but it is completely different from what you would imagine from this word. The photographer's intention is clearly to "record the screen", and the camera hardly moves, just to project the whole view. However, this is really amazing. The best angle is "directly in front of the center of the stage". There is no diagonal distortion, and you can face the latest CG and animation. Add to that the super beautiful digital image quality of the latest equipment, and you can fully enjoy the spectacle of watching a Hollywood blockbuster movie. The reason for this beautiful image may be selflessness. Even in the screen-main audience shot, you will want to take a direct picture of Roger, but you have completely abandoned that desire. I move it a little to the left and right to find the best angle, but I don't show off my photography skills or zoom in. All I can see of Roger and the other members is a silhouette of a grain of rice on the screen, but that subtly expresses the scale of the huge venue, and you can feel its size unconsciously. There have been several shots of the "US + THEM" video production so far, but there may not have been any images that were this beautiful and spectacular. [Second half of the show (February 2nd video)] Such a front shot is up to "Another Brick in the Wall Part 3". The second half switches to the video of the first day in Sydney (February 2nd). The reason for this is, of course, the huge screen curtain that runs across the venue is coming down. The T-shaped 3D screen that cannot be captured in a front shot is beautifully captured from the stand seats on the left side of the stage. And this shot is also completely focused on the "screen". Because it is a 3D structure, it cannot be completely fixed and I look around the venue a little, but it is still very stable, centered on the stage and the vertical screen. Moreover, the angle is almost 45 degrees, so you can look at the T-shaped screen at the best angle. As with the first half, there is no forced zoom, so you can understand more clearly than ever the footage that mocks President Trump and the pig balloons that leisurely cross in front of it. The grandeur of "US + THEM" depicted with that quality. Complex images synchronized with dynamic music flow endlessly, and even projection mapping is used to intersect in three dimensions... The spectacular experience of a special seat that you would not be able to experience even with a multi-camera professional shot spreads across the screen. I forgot to write something important, but the sound in both the first and second halves is also superb. The audio is also carefully selected and synchronized from various records, and the sound quality is outstanding. Not only the performance and singing voices, but also the pig's squeals are three-dimensional in the surround sound, yet extremely on. The scenery and sound are of super high quality, with a dignity as a "work". [Encore (February 3rd video)] After the member introduction when the vertical screen finishes its role, the front shot of Sydney on the second day again. The encores "Mother" and "Comfortably Numb" are depicted again in a cinematic scene. It's amazing. With such wonderful materials, I'm sure they would have wanted to edit it into a multi-camera version. However, instead of doing so, they "accurately" depicted the show. It is a masterpiece that captures the screen art of "US + THEM" without showing off its filming technique or editing sense, but simply and selflessly. It is true that you can see the "scenery of Oceania", and it will undoubtedly become one of the video collections from all over the world. However, the value and quality of this work are even more than that. Regardless of which country or venue this is, it will be remembered as a "masterpiece record of "US + THEM". For us Japanese who probably cannot experience "US + THEM" live, this is the most necessary special seat experience.
