A wonderful title that gives a bird's-eye view of the history of the talented Roberta Flack! This is a professional shot video compilation on Blu-ray with 1080P quality (some of the images have been made smaller to improve the quality, and some of the images are slightly cut off). First, from the 1970 TV program "Boboquivari" around the time of the release of her second album. Bass, drums, and Roberta's piano and singing. The soul stands out because of the simple composition. I'm sure many people will be blown away by the live performance of her early songs from "First Take" and "Chapter Two" where you can hear her true essence, and the strangeness of how she transforms the pop Beatles' "Let It Be" into a soulful, melancholy way of singing. And a rare performance of "Do What You Gotta Do" from the second album "Chapter Two" at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1971. "Killing Me Softly With His Song" from 1973 and the amazing harmony with Three Dog Night "Where Is The Love" would make the original Danny jealous. 40th anniversary of Atlantic Records, only Roberta's performance is included. "The Closer I Get To You", "The more I get to know you, the more you attract me. You give me everything, that's why I'm obsessed with you". There is a slight cut in the sound, but the silky voice of Peabo Brison, who had established his role as Danny's replacement, and the mellow Roberta are in perfect harmony. The Earth Voice Concert in 1992, where John Lennon's "Imagine" is elegantly developed from soulful to reggae. And the 1993 Japan tour. The opening is a bouncy arrangement of "You Know What It's Like" from "Oasis". The saxophone is also included, and the jazzy feel is comfortable. The album includes the stable masterpiece "Killing Me Softly With His Song" and "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love", which is definitely one of the top 10 duets written by Gerry Goffin and Michael Masser in 1983, and reached No. 2 in the UK. "Tonight we will hold a ceremony of love, from friend to lover, to be united with you". Dennis Collins' vocals are unwavering, as expected from someone who has worked with Aretha, Beyonce, and Donald Fagen. This was a classic song at weddings, and was performed during the bubble period. The presence of Barry Miles, who supported Roberta's music, adds sophistication to the live performance. The live performance includes a cover of the original Japanese project "Chinatown", which makes your body move involuntarily, the funky "Prelude To A Kiss", the superb love song "More Than You'll Ever Know" by Michael Ruff, which Natalie Cole later covered, and the soulful arrangement of Roberta's breakthrough song "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", which never gets old. I especially enjoyed the performance of "Tryin' Times," which includes a jazzy and cool jam. It was written by Hubbard University graduates Donny Hathaway and Leroy Hutson (and Roberta), and is full of New Soul manners. And the famous song "Where Is The Love" with Danny has a slow intro and a very professional performance with a lively feel. And then there's the dance song "Back Together Again" with Danny, and the remaining "Feel Like Makin' Love," which is a gem of a performance that also includes the thrilling nature of the song. Gabriel Goodman's beautiful high-pitched voice is wonderful. Just when you think this is the last song, they perform "I'd Like To Be Baby To You" from 1977's "Blue Lights in the Basement" with dancers. There are some parts where the video freezes for a moment, but it's not enough to make you feel frustrated, and it's a must-see live video of Roberta Flack, full of kindness in the 90s. Roberta's 25th anniversary performance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 1994, wearing a newsboy cap like Danny, performs a medley of her hit songs. The album includes a live version of Stephen Bishop's "It Might Be You" used in the movie "Tootsie" from the soundtrack of the movie "Waiting to Exhale" from the 1998 Boston Pops, and a slow, danceable version of "Where Is The Love." The album also includes a live performance of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" with Roberta, who harmonizes with India Arie as if watching over her, and "Jesse" from 1973.
