The Marco Moir Master Series, which surprised enthusiasts around the world with The Farm's 1985 transcendent audience "L.A. FORUM 1985" and "COSTA MESA 1985", has now unearthed two amazing high-quality performances from Robert Plant's 1990 "MANIC NIRVANA" tour! First up is San Diego on August 9th. "What, San Diego?" any enthusiast with a good sense of intuition would have guessed. Yes, that was the day the famous CD "SAN DIEGO 1990: MIKE MILLARD MASTER CASSETTES" recorded by the world-famous Mike Millard was released. However! The new recording by "Marco Moir" has amazing sound quality that surpasses the Millard version. It praises both breadth and depth, yet the sound image is close. His recording missed the beginning of the next song, "Immigrant Song," because the cassette was changed between songs after "Nirvana," but for this release, the missing part was compensated for by a mirrored recording. This of course realized a complete recording, but as a result, it is also a scene where you can clearly feel the difference in sound quality from the mirrored recording. If you listen to this, the sound quality of this "Marco Moir" recording is clearly better. However, just like the two recordings of The Farm last time, the pitch of the released sound source is also high. So the pitch was adjusted firmly for the release. The audience recording, which is already of outstanding quality, is finished in a way that you can enjoy with peace of mind. Even so, the excitement on this day was really amazing. The charm of this tour is the invincible set list that has a good balance of solo numbers and ZEP classics. And yet the audience was not only distracted by the ZEP numbers, but rather the excitement for the songs included in "MANIC NIRVANA" was incredible. I think that the great appeal of this sound source is that it captures the excitement of this active performance. And yet the recording is perfectly balanced without interfering with the performance or Plant's singing. Even the mirrored recording, which seemed so wonderful, is of such high quality that it pales in comparison to this one. It clearly conveys that Plant and the band were at their peak at the time.
