Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released their second album "RAISE THE ROOF" for the first time in 14 years last year. At the time of the release of this album, they stated that they would perform live in 2022, and so they went on a summer festival tour. In the midst of all this, they also appeared at Glastonbury. This album has a strong blues and country taste produced by T. Bone Burnett, and you can imagine the sound as being similar to the recent live stage of Bob Dylan, who has a connection with him. In short, it is a sound that is now called "Americana," and even those who could not get used to the traditional sound of 14 years ago will be able to listen to it easily this time. Naturally, the set list will be centered on numbers from the new album, but the composition is exquisite, with an R&B cover of "Fortune Teller" from the previous work being mixed in between. And yet, the traditional feel of the show is expressed through the ZEP classic "The Battle Of Evermore," which is perfect as a live act, and in that respect it is easier to get into than the last time (2007). Of course, the picture quality and sound quality are perfect, but what is surprising to watch is the staging of the two, who are so in sync that it is hard to believe they are a duo again after 14 years. Both Plant and Krauss are singing with such joy that you can really feel their joy at being back on stage during the COVID-19 pandemic. What is so touching is that when the guitarist starts playing a solo, the two of them stand close together and watch him play. It's interesting because they don't dance or play along with it, but rather they are both engrossed in the guitar solo. And although Krauss is approaching his 50s, he doesn't look like he has aged at all, and in fact, his beauty has been polished, and the best picture quality captures his performance as he seems to be having so much fun. And the biggest surprise on this year's stage is the rockabilly version of the ZEP classic "Rock And Roll." This has been arranged in a really nice way, and indeed it has been reborn as a version that even 73-year-old Plant would be able to sing without difficulty. And yet it is also true that the selection of songs will liven up a venue like a festival, and even those who were not familiar with the interpretation of the ZEP number he played at Summer Sonic Japan 8 years ago should be able to get used to this one. Not only with Krauss, but in recent years Plant's stage performances have tended to fall into a monotonous tune, but this time the rockabilly and country sounds have been strengthened, and the addition of a fresh arrangement of "Rock and Roll" and other songs has made it more familiar, and the latest stage performance is guaranteed to be of perfect quality! This is enjoyable. Worthy Farm, Pilton, England 24th June 2022 PRO-SHOT (61:58) 1. Rich Woman 2. Quattro (World Drifts In) 3. Fortune Teller 4. The Price Of Love 5. Rock And Roll 6.
